People turning on Gaga?

So, I haven’t made a thread on here in ages! However, I recently was stalking Gaga’s Instagram comments and there was an overwhelming amount of negative comments. A lot of them are calling her a Zionist and slammed her for “buying babies” 

Have people turned on her? Like even Acid Betty and MAX (two queens from Drag Race) were calling her out and they even made speculations about where the skin from Outer Bio was coming from saying it had Israeli investors. I like many fans wish she would speak out but how come no other public figure who’s been silent is not getting enough hate? 
 

*EDIT* I just also want to clarify Gaga is not a victim in regards to the genocide and I am not trying to deflect on the extremely serious issue.

Everyone is way too online. Is it bad that she hasn't used her platform to speak out against genocide? Yeah, it sucks, actually. Did she make a mistake performing in Israel in 2014? Totally.

Does that mean she believes in a one state solution, the Israeli state, the genocide and displacement of the Palestinian people, and the murder of children? 

Imo, she's a "I'm praying for peace on both sides," and that will not go over well when (very rightly so) the tide has turned from a two-state solution to either outright abolition, formal deprogramming, and restructuring, or a three-state solution.

I saw her getting looped in with names like Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, and Pink, etc. on TikTok in terms of celebs we should be blocking. I see it more and more as time goes by. I know no one can force her to say something, and her activism in the past still means a lot. But I really wish she'd personally take a stand on it so the majority of these people don't have a leg to stand on. It's really disheartening to see so many people group her in with so many morally reprehensible celebrities. I couldn't care less about other allegations like satanism or her being a man. But the Zionist one really puts a pit in my stomach.

Some people are just DYING to call her a Zionist the second she’s mentioned. 
her silence does irritate me on the issue but she is far from a Zionist but there’s no point in all trying to defend her to these idiots

The Star of David =/= Zionism, and to conflate all Jewish symbols with Zionism is antisemitic. Granted, she was in Israel when this was taken, but again, when people use this photo as a "gotcha" moment to project such a violent political ideology is disingenuous at best and purposely misleading at worst.

Maybe this is a hot take, but I generally don't have an issue with her (or anyone) not explicitly saying anything about it. What I mean by that is that I don't need her to make a formal statement like "Free Palestine," "Israel is a terrorist state," etc. Would that be great? Absolutely. I'd prefer her to explicitly state something, but we don't know if she's done work behind the scenes. We don't know if she's donated to causes or supported Palestinians personally.

What I would have a problem with is if she explicitly started supporting Israel, which I don't think she'd ever do, but still. If she started doing the sh*t Pink was doing, then that, that's obviously a problem.

But people calling her a Zionist? It just feels like chronically online activism. 

Because what happens if she said something publicly, but then never donated or did anything in private? We'd never know, but that'd be really shitty. Also, at what point is it enough for some people? Because if you speak on one issue and not another, you'd have people calling you x, y, and z for not supporting that cause.

My opinion may be a little controversial, but I lately I kinda understand why the Mayhem Tour felt like some kind of farewell while she was also saying she would still be making music. I think she somehow knew what she was risking with all the decisions she is making. I don't know what the next era will be like or how it will develop, but it's imposible to deny that she's in a gray zone for a lot of fans.

Literally saw under a comment "Sis, address the Zio allegations" like I can't imagine a worse reason to speak out against genocide just because internet stans want her to. Again, I do think she's a "both sides-er" in the most liberal sense of the term, but she's also not going to get arrested like Hannah Einbinder or Susan Sarandon or want to be falsely labeled antisemitic like Mark Ruffalo. Spineless? Yeah. Is she GenocideGa like some stans have called her? Please.

Again, we're literally debating whether a pop star is a Zionist when we should be putting this energy and resources to actually helping Palestinians and pressuring our government to have an arms embargo against Israel etc. etc.

Agreed, this may sound parasocial however I don’t think she’s a bad person. Like all humans she has questionable sides to her, but I don’t think she would ever excuse the killing of innocent people.

Tbh, now she has a child i wouldn’t be surprised if she goes the Beyoncé route and just stops revealing anything personal. I think she’s slowly been doing that the past six years anyways but I respect her choice 🤷‍♂️ it can’t be easy being that famous.

I literally only hear about this here. I’m not on other social media networks, and offline I haven’t heard a single person even aware of this. I also don’t think she’s obligated to say anything. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, but I also don’t believe it makes her a “Zionist” either. There is also truth to the reality that sometimes saying anything just makes things worse.

It always happens when Gaga is at a peak. Illuminati, devil worshiper, she always will be called something that will make her look bad. Yes, this is a bit more political leaning, but it's just a hate train push from other fanbases now paying off against Gaga. On this matter: people care more about canceling celebrities (they are right when they have a good reason like with Pink and Ed) than the lives in Palestine and that is just sad to me.

There's a lot of speculations going around and people are just spreading it like facts, it's so frustrating

If she speaks on anything I don't think it will help either because people are rabid for hating celebrities right now and they'll probably find something wrong with anything she says

Online activism is also so frustrating to me these days because imagine if all that energy was put to doing something in real life
