I was just taken aback by the "lighter" direction. I discovered them with Lesser Man and I really enjoy the darkness of that record so the new songs lacked a certain edge in comparison, at first glance at least. That being said I really haven't had the time to give them a fair shot. I usually look at new releases in general how they fit their overall discography and how they'd fit in a set list with other tracks and I think it's a very nice and needed addition.
