Hmm, this time I don't disagree with you. If she keeps staying like this, I might need to distance myself as well, which will be very hard to do, but ethically, I need to.

Leave it to the LGBTQ community to shun away an actual ally because she doesn’t prioritize homophobic people on the other side of the world.

Anyway, Gaga will likely never speak on the subject. Like I said, Gaga now has a half-Jewish child and her safety and well-being should be her priority.

Gaga now has a half-Jewish child. Do you seriously think she’s not concerned about all the anti-Semitism going on in America and how her speaking up on situation in Gaza subject could affect her baby’s safety?

I agree that she does, and I wish that she had done already, but I also think this is a point where she likely isn’t going to due to her new arrival and the way she’s having to navigate the media. I’m not saying that’s an excuse, more that I don’t think we’ll hear from her on anything at all for a while. Saying anything at all just stirs up even more interest in her, which she doesn’t want right now.

(Also tbh she’s probably pre-occupied with her newborn sharting up her entire back and needing to change every piece of clothing.)

Not choosing sides but we aren’t in control of her. She doesn’t need to do anything. Leave her alone lol

That would actually be wholly unnecessary for her to do at this point. Not everyone has to be political at all times. The Israel-Palestine conflict shouldn’t be some litmus test. Yes, what’s happened in Palestine is atrocious, but people shouldn’t be expected to comment on all things at all times. With that logic, you should expect all celebrities to discuss all geopolitical conflicts at all times such as the conflicts happening currently in Sudan, Congo, Myanmar, etc.

Celebrities are not politicians. It’s not their obligation to weigh in on every issue. The whole “silence is complicity” is such a false position. It’s essentially trying to control someone’s behaviour by threatening to make an assumption about them if they dont behave the way you want them to.

She and Michael have (alleged) Israeli-based investors in their companies, and I'm sure they have (allegedly) invested in Israeli medical technologies. Not because they support Israel as an ethno-state, but because there is a legitimately large medical technology industry

Absolutely prescient observation; but/and (again again), just for the sake of context within the thread … Polansky‘s statement on his professional relationship, at present, with the Founders Fund founding four partners, in August 2026, as a “really, really great experience,” in context of the erstwhile silence, does become a statement in and of itself [as each four partners have positions of significance within the socio-political network dynamics (not at the very least, one partner being an active U.S. Ambassador—on his second appoinment by the current POTUS)] at a more interpersonal level, than just business network / industry geography … over time, the plausible deniability of diplomatic silence for the sake of business proximity does begin to wane in strides from an objective optics perspective …

Spoiler

Peter Thiel (Palantir, international surveillance database), Sean Parker (Executive Chairman, Stability.AI (Stability Diffusion)—precedent platform for CSAM legislation), Luke Nosek (Founder, Gigafund; SpaceX‘s (Musk) first institutional investor, current SpaceX Board member), and Ken Howery (U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, 2019-2021; U.S. Amabassador to Sweden, 2025-Present)

Again, I’m new and novice to the realm of discourse, but just referencing relevant commentary for the sake of observational discourse analysis … where there is absence, there is presence … so, here, it just seems like in the absence of explicit statements appearing as we would assume or expect, the next step is observing the presence of apparently implicit direct statements that exist as they are

But/and, again, I’m new and novice and just learning and gleaning as we go along

ETA: Just approaching the situation from the position that Polansky made a direct statement, in 2026, that he positively considers his work experience with individuals who currently express and espouse, and/or represent individuals who express and espouse, certain supremacist views (Thiel; Nosek, Musk; Howery, POTUS) … again, in the absence of an explicit statement at the geopolitical level, this is a direct statement that implies current positive association with conflict-relevant individuals … again, though, this is Polansky‘s position—the statement was not expressed by, nor on behalf of, Gaga

Also, this comment in its entirety is not in direct response or opposition to your comment … you just encapsulated a focal consideration well (DanceFight … ever the articulate one), so your commentary was a lucid catalyst reference point for further riffing

She has worn Palestinian designers, has spread the Free Palestine message on her tour screens and has allowed a Palestinian poet to use her platform and name through her charity. That is more than celebrities just posting empty messages tbh.

Do you need to say “I am not a Nazi” for people to know you arent a Nazi? Or do you simply not support Nazi related views and people automatically know?

I get nuance is absolutely abysmally dead nowadays, but I think you can tell that someone who’s clearly a humanitarian—and has done more than those rich people liking or posting Instagram posts—is clearly against modern day Nazi’s.
