In 2020, the Grammys changed the Best New Artist rules by removing the maximum number of releases an artist could have. Now, it’s only a minimum of 5 tracks or 1 album, with no maximum.

I mean she said “I”, so basing it off of her own words, she took her previous works down. 

She didn’t say anything about management pressures, so it would be a little speculative without cause to assume she was strong-armed into it and it wasn’t her choice.
