Pronounced like ā€œBalenciagaā€ . Emphasis on the ā€œGaā€

WhenĀ Katy PerryĀ sold her catalog to Litmus MusicĀ for an estimated $225 million, ownership shifted to an investment firm backed by the massive private-equity giantĀ The Carlyle Group. Once a private equity firm owns a catalog, they treat it like any other asset portfolio: they need to maximise their return on investment. The way they do that directly influences what you see on apps likeĀ Amazon Music.Firms likeĀ Litmus Music employ dedicated marketing teams to actively pitch these songs for movies, TikTok trends, commercials, and streaming playlists. Private equity firms have immense financial leverage and corporate connections. They negotiate directly with tech companies and streaming platforms to ensure their assets get prime real estate (like curated banners and autoplay priority). By actively funding or pushing a song like The One That Got Away into viral status on social media, the owners trick the streaming algorithms into thinking there is a organic surge in demand, which forces Amazon Music to serve it to more listeners. So, while it might feel "suspicious" from a listener's perspective, it is a highly calculated, aggressive corporate marketing push to recoup that $225 million investment.

Why are the gays streaming this and not Bass Persuades?Ā

Judging by the streaming numbers I'd say the only people who listenĀ Bass Persuades are gaysĀ :icant:

Now TOTGA is actually supported by GP.

It is so interesting to see Artists like Gaga and Katy getting their flowers literally over a decade later.Ā

TOTGA is great, so is Bloody Mary. These songs competing and winning agaist new releases, proofes, that Teens want 2010's music back

When artists are back to some late 2000s / early 2010s influenced music, they let them tank so hard. They just want to listen to the old songs not the new ones tbh
