Macklemore even made sure to say that criticism of Isreal was not criticism of Jewish people. So she really has no excuse to be crashing out like this unless she supports what they are doing to Palestine.

The question isn't whether Jewish people deserve safety, equality, or self-determination. Everybody does. The issue is what happens when establishing or maintaining a Jewish state in a land already inhabited by another people involves displacement, unequal rights, or denying Palestinians the same right to self-determination. So I don't think ‘Zionism = Jews having rights’ fully captures the political consequences of Zionism.

I went to her show a few years ago and she put a good show and acknowledged the lesbian fans. She even brought her daughter out and sang the “Cover me in sunshine” song and it was cute. It’s crazy to think she can’t find a bit of empathy for kids suffering around the world.
