I've got no problem with folks who want to pirate it to check it out. I'm a big film history guy, so I've downloaded many a movie file from some real garbage directors, movies with offensive subject matter or filming conditions, or with ~problematic~ actors. It's all about intent with me 

I know some folks argue that people who pirate it are still keeping her in the zeitgeist/keeping her relevant by doing so, but I think 1. that's a bit of a stretch if you're taking it in passively, not promoting it, not buying merch for it, not giving them the ratings, etc, and 2. no amount of pretending she doesn't exist will ever work to make her fade away from the public sphere, especially not in her lifetime

so tl;dr idc if people want to steal it to check it out

Someone on bluesky also mentioned that they'd have to change all the merch and branding too, and I don't think they'll be willing to do alllllll that for an easy cash grab like this project 🫠

John Williams was one of the most crucial (if not THEE most crucial) ingredient in their success/longevity?

& that his contributions to both will outlive (& be more beloved) than any future iterations of either franchise?

also there's a new Universal theme park currently being built in the UK not far from the already established studio tour in london which I believe is owned by WB 

I can see them building an area based on the new series to get around that as it differentiates from the one in Orlando and also by the time it opens (2031) this new series will be well established

I'm happy to see some of the details from the books are in the trailer, even the fact that Neville is with them in the room with fluffy which they changed in the films. Hope this gives them more room to include all the little side stories and details from the books that the films left out. I remember when the movies came out I was so disappointed that they changed everything.

I find it hard to believe they won't have some sort of Harry Potter area

but I need them to have LOTR, it'd draw the entire world to the park
