I’ve been a huge fan since she appeared with just dance when I was in HS. I’ve continued to be a fan and supported her all these years. However, if she stopped making music, I’d probably move on from her. Which is unfortunately because she’s been such a big part of my life. However, what’s the point if the singer I loved, just stopped doing what made me love her in the first place.

I'd move on but I'll still listen to her albums. But deep inside I know that she won't completely retire from music. She literally said during the Mayhem Ball that she will still be performing in the same stage when she's in her 80s and 90s and she really meant it

i mean my stanship had declined naturally anyway as i've gotten older, she's now just one of the very few artists i will instantly preorder and will spend the money to see live (if affordable)

if she chooses to hang up the music for a while to focus on haus labs or acting, fine, i will probably only pay attention if she does something that interests me like other artists i follow

i've never really paid attention to haus labs and only really will if they decide to go into fragrances

Isn't it natural that our interest in Gaga decreases when she is musically inactice? For me at least it's always been like this. When there are no music news, I focus on other artists. When she returns and I enjoy the music, I am back. That doesn't mean I 'unstan' her during these in-between eras.

Should Gaga stop making music and go fulltime into anti aging research (which I believe is a scam, as I have been told by numerous dermatologists these products do not work, they simply hydrate your skin, which a simple & cheap moisturizing cream will do just as well) I will no longer be considering myself as a fan. It's hard enough a pill to swallow that Outer Bio is funded by highly questionable people, though to be fair, so are countless international corporations including Samsung... Whose product I am currently using to type this message

Why would she quit what she's best at? No one on here is going to agree that she's a better actress than a musician let's be real. She has a level of star power and stage presence on top of her vocal talent that movies just cannot showcase. 

To answer your question, I'd probably stop caring down the line..

I just know it’s so depressing when Gaga goes through these periods where she isn’t doing anything significant with her career… It’s like everything she does adds a little color to my life.

Yeah … that OuterBio thing really is like … increasingly a thing, if only because by practical logic it is a literal start-up and only grows from this groundwork of oddly entrenched seed investors. To your point though, to be fair, the Samsung thing is valid; but at this juncture, Samsung doesn‘t position itself as an organization designed to assist humanity from the humble beginnings of a scrappy start-up with a clean slate to impact the world … on the genius wings and philanthropic arms of a CEO whose most prestigious and meritous credentials are a Bachelor‘s from Harvard and over a decade working as the day-to-day Foundation manager for Sean Parker—Stability AI‘s Executive Chairman, whose canon industry disruption (among a bevy of industrial triumphs) was enlisting Peter Thiel as Facebook‘s first investor …

If Gaga dropped music to move forward with that endeavor … with that community as her core constituency … I don‘t think my fandom would be front of mind so much as, did anyone catch if she blinked twice

It's crazy parasocial but I just want her to be happy and at peace, finally (and making music ofc ) but I've long become a fan of her, too. Even though I know very well I don't know the woman.

Remember those wildfires when her house was still in danger and we got that picture taken (obviously in secret) behind a half-open door of one of the shelters she visited, Gaga sitting next to an old lady's bed, seemingly talking and definitely feeding her food from a plastic tub with a fork.  This was during an already very traumatic time for her (we knew, but not the extent, Rolling Stone article from 2025 is mighty illuminating) but that's her.

No Tech entrepreneurs, people orbiting Michael Polansky, Sean Parker himself, or Outer Bio will change that. Remember how so early in her career she worked with numerous brands and worked with Polaroid etc. Yes, she's a Capitalist (I can't believe I'm saying this as a student of THE field of Economics that's looking for a viable alternative and will return the moment I'm able to), always has been and to be fair couldn't have given a quarter of the amazing visuals/tours she's done if she wasn't a savvy businesswoman in this climate. Remember also how she used her own money AND leverage with businesses in order to try and help speed up the development of Covid vaccines. 

She has a HUGE heart, I actually love her acting when she's given the chance to do something with it. I would follow her movies, interviews and red carpets, and especially those peeks behind the scenes that show us how much she gives back - and mostly keeps quiet about (remember that deleted tweet from the US Fire Brigade years before said incident randomly thanking her?) - whether it's face-to-face or donation-wise. She's a gem of a person who, through an effing screen, has helped me through 17 years of incredible chronic pain, 12 years bedridden. With laughter, tears, joy and catharsis. I wouldn't just be gone. I was hooked on Just Dance so why give up?  Besides, maybe I could finally dissect every single song she's ever put out lol - she'd always be my no. 1, listening on loop.

I don't see her quitting though. Those tears at every Mayhem Ball concert, not to mention multiple times at Gagacabana? That "thank you for wanting me back" that's there somewhere since BTWB... The exorcism that making music is for her, her outlet, her passion and creativity, that drive, that obvious promise. Nope, she's going nowhere and I believe her that she'll be performing and making music for many decades to come.

It's an interesting concept, but ultimately I don't thnk it goes anywhere. In order for her to be capable of giving up music she'd have to be someone else.... and she isn't.
