My vote changes all the time. Sometimes it’s Hard Candy or MDNA, then I Iisten to some of Rebel Heart and can’t believe it’s such a long album with very dull songs and exactly what it is: an album she had no creative control over and was made in writing camps. 

But I also agree that Like A Virgin has a couple of fun singles but the rest is just filler.

If you look specifically at how the US market responded to the album and its singles, it absolutely was her first "flop"/experience of push back.

I know it’s her first flop, I just don’t think it deserved to do any better than it did.

i completely agree with this! I might sound like a hypocrite, but I don’t care- I’m not a even fan of Madame X album, HOWEVER Madame X Music from the theater experience live 3LP is *chef kiss * 🤌🏽😮‍💨 (i’ve never seen the show) now the whole presentation, the sound quality and production is fcuking unreal. The best live album of hers for sure. I get chills every time i put that record on. It’s not cheap but it’s still accessible. I bought it out of curiosity and just wanted to test out new speakers (and knowing it’s refundable), turned out a 10/10 keeper!! most certainly an overlooked piece of art from her.

How the fvck is Madame X winning when MDNA exists  that's the most shitty sloppy album she could have released. Like its the only album I never bought because I genuinely hated most of the songs no matter how hard I tried to like them.
