It’s well documented that her biggest promotional campaigns and most successful schedules were created and managed by Bobby at the time. He wasn’t her primary manager but he was responsible for her marketing before becoming her overall manager, it’s the reason Interscope allowed him to be her manager because he was already responsible for her being everywhere.

In fact the Born This Way campaign was almost entirely done by Bobby without Troy’s input, as Troy was pushing for her to become a brand behind the scenes more than he was pushing for her music career.
 

Essentially before he left, Bobby handled her music career marketing and Troy was managing her overall brand reach. He wasn’t making her day-to-day schedules before he left that was Bobby.

Back in the day, Gaga kept saying 24/7 she never wanted to take a break, never wanted to stop, that working all the time made her feel more excited and creative than ever and that she’d take a break whenever she wants to. The girl literally kept touring and didn’t tell anyone while being completely aware she was injuring herself.

I’m sure Troy did “force” her to do some things and explore some commercial ventures she didn’t want to, but let’s not say that he’s the only responsible person for her state. Gaga herself is also responsible.

While it’s true she didn’t tell anyone, regardless Troy did not see her when she was recovering and instantly gave her an unmanageable brand schedule. It was only after he left and Bobby temporarily stepped into his position (before becoming her full time manager) that she was allowed a rest and respite period. The rest she got from November to roughly February/March was what she should’ve gotten earlier in 2013 and they should pushed ARTPOP back to early 2014. 

We should also note that her original schedule was actually to go straight into the ARTPOP era in April 2013 after the BTWB was over. No breaks whatsoever. Which means that Troy had always planned for her to always keep working, in fact, the reason she did so much for Fame was to replace the fact (as we know) Interscope originally pushed for a late 2012 release of ARTPOP — hence plans like Sex Dreams as the lead single or MANiCURE as the lead single since the video treatment was from early summer 2012.

In August 2012 she posted in the chats on LM.com that she had a meeting with Interscope and afterwards announced PARTYNAUSEOUS, despite the fact the aong wasn’t complete or it’s direction wasn’t decided upon whether it was for her album or Kendrick’s. To me that’s further proof of bad management.

He categorically didn’t though, Bobby was her marketing manager long before he was her overall manager and Vincent Herbert and Jimmy Iovine handled all her major business deals. Troy was her day-to-day manager and became her business manager (replacing Jimmy) in 2010/2011 for BTW. 2010-2011 was also when Bobby single handedly built the marketing campaign for Born This Way whilst Troy began handling things like her budgets, brand deals etc.

All of the marketing for The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way was either co-created and managed or entirely managed by Bobby. The album artwork on the subway trains, the billboards, her talk show and award show appearances those were all handled by Bobby. Troy controlled her personal and business schedule but did not close deals for her until 2011. He essentially started doing two different manager jobs at the same time and that’s why her personal schedule severely suffered, because he was more interested in the business side of her management because it made him more money. 

In fact Bobby has only shy of outright saying that during ARTPOP he was basically acting as her manager anyway because Troy was more interested in business deals.

The McQueen runway debut for Bad Romance for instance was Gaga’s idea but Jimmy Iovine executed it for her. Bobby was also on the set with her during the filming of the music video. Troy was not.

Jommy Iovine then went to work for Spotify and took Troy with him when he dropped Gaga entirely. Because they predicted her well was running dry so they hopped over to Spotify because it was up and coming at the time. If he was such a great manager, he would’ve managed other major acts amazingly and he simply has not.

Bobby’s exact title at Atom Factory (Troy’s management company) was Chief Marketing Officer and he’s credited as such on every Gaga album up to ARTPOP and then credited as manager from Cheek to Cheek onward.

I remember watching Ozzy Osbourne on a late show praising gaga (pre BTW). He said he heard she was prepping a new album and he thought she should take a break. I remember agreeing. 
But the complex journey of Gaga is what makes her all the more interesting 🤷‍♂️

After her hip injury in 2013 she was obviously already overworked, broken and in a bad headspace. But they still forced her to put out Applause with an insane promo campaign. There's an interview with DJWS (maybe by@ChicaSkas) where he recalls the amount of agony and stress they had over finishing ARTPOP in time for the deadline. 

Then Troy dropped her the moment that he realized that his money making machine had her limits - and he moved on to something that didn't require any maintenance (yet).

Also if anybody wants to know this man’s calibre and priorities. He left Gaga to become a head at Spotify, then he left Spotify when a better deal came along because he made his company Atom Factory into a tech and entertainment company and he currently works with things like AI.

He also now invests in Silicon Valley tech companies and startups. He hasn’t been involved in the music industry since 2017.
 

Which coincidentally after he left spotify was when Gaga finally started doing well on streaming. He was Head of Creator Services at Spotify bridging the gap between musicians and the company, so I stand by he black balled Gaga his whole time there.

He abandoned her just before an album release, and then because he was bitter he lied to the whole world that she was the one who left him. The compliment is cute, but he is an @ss. He hurt her heavily and got away with it.
