so yes she did A LOT but she was a very very hard worker and always talked about how important that was to her and that this is all she ever wanted to do.  According to her it was the extra stuff like selling perfume that she apparently didn’t like, but look at her now..selling makeup and skincare so idk…. 

A good manager should protect their client though - even if it's from their own ambition. Pacing a career is exactly what a manager is for: knowing when to go full throttle but also knowing when to hit the brakes. Gaga wanted to be everywhere, but she didn't want to crash and burn in 2012-2014. Which happens to be exactly when Troy changed his mind about that whole loyalty thing.

After her hip injury in 2013 she was obviously already overworked, broken and in a bad headspace. But they still forced her to put out Applause with an insane promo campaign. There's an interview with DJWS (maybe by@ChicaSkas) where he recalls the amount of agony and stress they had over finishing ARTPOP in time for the deadline. 

Then Troy dropped her the moment that he realized that his money making machine had her limits - and he moved on to something that didn't require any maintenance (yet).

As much as we dislike him, it truly was a silver lining that he and Gaga parted ways. Could you imagine if he was still managing her? She maybe would've been under more control and not releasing music that's as good. Not to mention in a bad headspace. Perhaps she wouldn't even have made a successful comeback. Things sometimes happen for a reason.

God he annoys me something fiercely. And the absolute irony in his statement praising her loyalty.

When he literally used her like a cash cow and dipped when she had enough. Not to mention he did some shady behind the scenes business. 

Like in hindsight we know they wanted Robin Thicke on Sex Dreams, MANiCURE was supposed to be the Telephone continuation with a controversial music video, PARTYNAUSEOUS got announced without them locking it in, he sold business rights out from under her for, he was one of the people that told her to “just be pretty and make dance music” in 2011/12 which is why her image changed and the early demos of ARTPOP are so… not like her. Not to mention they had her vocals also edited in the mixing/mastering process of ARTPOP.

Then on a personal side he didn’t visit her in hospital at all after her surgery, he started pushing his own ambitions and what was trendy vs what Gaga wanted.
