It was her first pop single release in two and half years since G.U.Y. from ARTPOP. Although the song charted moderately after release, it did peak at number one on Billboard and Twitters Top Tracks charts due to hype following the announcement, and the song peaking so high before even being released is a rare achievement. ---- I still remember EXACTLY where I was when I saw the announcement.
