albums that you had expectations from, but they disappointed you

It's my own fault for not checking out her other albums, but Gracie's Daughter from hell?! That should have been a Pheobe Bridgers or like Ethel Cain or Lana album title! Was such a boring nothingnurger of an album.

Sweetener and TYN by Ari weren't that great compared to the lead singles and overall hype.

Virgin on initial listen was also kinda disappointing compared to Solar Power. 

The first half of Lust for life was also kinda meh on initial listens.

By Gaga Joanne and Chromatica (and kinda Mayhem on first listen because of the last quarter of the album, minus Shadow of a man).

Pretty much all Swift albums, because what do you mean she's selling those numbers with music that meh? Especially TLOAS and TTPD, such a cool titles and brilliant visuals for.. that?

Beyonce, Aguilera, Britney and Mariah also don't really have albums I enjoy, which is a shame considering how hyped they are.

Also pretty much most big charting men.. Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Drake, Morgan, Shawn, Bieber, Michael Jackson, the 90s boybands..

I really hate the tendency this fanbase has to give Gaga 100% of the credit when she does something they like and then pawn off what they perceive as missteps on someone else. 

She cannot simultaneously have all the power but also answer to others. 

She made the decisions on what songs were on the track list. She made the decisions a lot of us don’t like. Not Michael, not her management. She has the ability to decline doing anything she doesn’t want to and has done so. 

 

I mean it was kinda her fault for talking so much about how involved he was in the project and saying she wanted to turn everything into PC and him being like no babe, this is all you.
