Apparently, it is a scientific platform built around a core technology: they have bioengineered an ex vivo system that can keep intact human skin cultures, with their full thickness (all their layers), alive for four weeks. This quadruples the ex vivo testing periods that were previously possible, since skin cultures could previously only be maintained for one to five days. Four weeks of intact skin outside the body! This makes it possible to conduct much more extensive and thorough testing of allergens, efficacy, accumulation, toxicity, permeability, etc., over a full month, without involving in vivo human or animal testing Ahhh Here's the actual product then. The skincare funds the research making this system possible & getting it to a point where the tech can be sold to the market. LGAte 987
This feels so un-her. I feel like we’re losing her, guys. I get that Michael is who she loves and that’s for her. But I can’t help but feel he has kind of taken her away from her. I really hate admitting that. But after Mayhem’s entire direction went different because of him, and she started having him as a co-collaborator on everything, and then he basically just really influences everything. It just doesn’t feel she can be her own person. Like where is Lady Gaga by herself? I never felt like Jay-Z took from Beyonce or Travis took from Rihanna. This feels wrong. I hope she still writes without him in the future. She used to be very adamant about a woman being independent and her own thing without a man. And now I feel like the opposite has happened. Idk. I’m also not saying Michael is bad or anything by the way. I’m saying I hope she doesn’t misplace not forget to create her own autonomy around her art and she starts to lose it to someone’s opinion of her. LG8 should literally just be her own words. You don’t know her, and a lot of fans honestly need to stop acting like they do. You only see a slight percentage of her whenever she’s out in public and lets us know what she wants to share. How do you know she hasn’t been interested in investing in healthcare herself all along? I’m sorry but I hate this notion that she’s this delicate flower being influenced by an evil demon 1# Samoyed Stan 14

It doesn’t feel un-her to me. This is the woman who tried to be the revolutionary creative director for Polaroid and basically invented the Meta glasses as a concept in 2010, tried to make a flying dress in 2013, a unique app to support her album, has been involved in politics behind the scenes and on top of that — has been involved in skin science since before Haus Labs pivoted. Even in her debut she invented DIY video glasses and a light-up stage prop called a “disco stick” and was involved in creating the “living dress” for a tour. She’s BEEN in tech and science since her debut. As for her music, Michael hasn’t influenced her THAT much beyond probably saying to her as a partner “babe you seem so happy making pop music and performing just do that.” And his contribution to her writing is probably him just sitting in the room and making minor suggestions. I mean she gave RedOne a 50% split writing credit for BAD ROMANCE because of a melody suggestion after all.

The skincare funds the research making this system possible & getting it to a point where the tech can be sold to the market. I don’t think the skincare industry funded the project. As you said, Michael is a venture capitalist, so he can afford to fund the project and bring in a group of fellow venture capitalists to back it. Gaga’s involvement as one of the three Board Directors is because she brings the skincare perspective and can help shape its future applications. Skincare is one of the potential outputs of the project, not the input. All the investors are a group of early-stage venture capital and angel investors specializing in technology, biotech, healthcare, and deep-tech startups. If this venture find its path, this technology can completely bypass human and animal testing in transdermal treatments; medical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic. Useful for skincare industry, but not only skincare oriented. It’s a product by itself. That’s why it’s a separate venture from Haus Labs. But I’m sure Haus Labs will benefit from this new technology. Edited 1 hour ago by iAmToton 𝖂𝖊 𝖆𝖗𝖊 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖉𝖎𝖊

That’s what strikes me the most: why test and produce their own skincare? But being a B2B venture, I think they’re not releasing their own products, but rather trademarking actives to resell to other companies. But selling their own products to the public? Hmm… 𝖂𝖊 𝖆𝖗𝖊 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖉𝖎𝖊
