ANVEEROY 65,445
#5. Zombieboy - 8.41 Highest Score: 10 — Mars Lowest Score: 3 — Horny Chicken Comments: Spoiler princedebleble: She's insaneeee! Bronco: I love it, its an improvement on the album version. This mid section of Requiem is probably my favourite part. BloodyVelvet: I wish it would sound like this on the record. IT'S AMAZINH BeyonkaAte: LOVE how moody and eerie it is and the way she reworked the we about to be up all night tagline and that scream at the end ugh queen of halloween !!! I did rate it just under 8 because i do feel like it lacks a bit of variation and stays rather monotonous. gagacabana: Makes me feel like a robot Nightcallsmile: An entirely different song, the vocoder is mesmerizing. Huttont: I didn’t like it too much at first but I kinda love the deconstructed version especially after hearing Gaga/Michael going for a post apocalyptic vibe. The transition into the og outro is top notch. PartySick: Thriller's weird niece made tamer. She got an accountant job, I guess. Not nearly as good as the album version but she's 'ight. PSYCHOSHTICK: It was ALMOST an 11. The album version is one of my favorite tracks and I can't believe how she made me fell in love with it again in a completely different setting. The vocoder, the 80s darkwave synths, it feels like a drive on the highway in the middle of the night. It's one of my absolute favorites. Auralegends: I think it's ok. I love the change in melody during rhe bridge Chromanne: I had a deep psychedelic feeling with this one. PornoDanceFight: This gothic rendition is another standout. The vocoder vocals really give a new spin to this essential party track, and dare I say elevates it just a smidge above the standard version. ANVEEROY 65,445
#4. Disease - 8.78 Highest Score: 11 — The Breast, pynkri, Stamos Lowest Score: 6 — Mars Comments: Spoiler Horny Chicken: A great reinterpretation! princedebleble: It's a gr8 version of a gr8 face, kinda wish she went more off vocally in the post bridge part with more vocal riffs Bronco: I like it, but I like it less than the OG album version. I feel like it loses its bite in the Requiem version. BloodyVelvet: Amazing version. show stopping. never been done before. BeyonkaAte: She took an already perfect song and gave us an incredible rendition out of nowhere like omg the way it builds into an explosive rock/metal finale is eargasmic. And the creepy vocoder backing vocals... chills gagacabana: HEEEEY ROCKERS Freud: Epic Nightcallsmile: It's solid, but I wouldn't prefer it to the original. Ladle Ghoulash: Excellent arrangement. Love the ambient space she gives the vocals throughout and absolutely live for the screams at the end. PlastiscGuy: I love how darker it sounds. Her vocals sound magnificent. Huttont: She thrives singing this live. The screaming at the end gives me life. This sound suits her so well. PartySick: Makes me want to writhe around on the floor like I have the dark spawn of a dildo and an inflatable tube man elbow deep in me and we both had too much caffeine. This song was meant to be cinema in every form. PSYCHOSHTICK: Depeche Mode - In Your Room vibes. Yes. Just yes. Auralegends: Great opener and bridge, though at the end the instrumentals take over a bit too much Ouranos: Absolutely love the rock sound Stamos: The best song of the album, yet again stuns with this version PornoDanceFight: The buildup to the final chorus is delectable. One of her best compositions. ANVEEROY 65,445
#3. Abracadabra - 8.85 Highest Score: 11 — princedebleble, gagacabana Lowest Score: 5 — Mars, Ouranos Comments: Spoiler Horny Chicken: It’s more interesting than the original. princedebleble: THE song of the night, so dynamic, so brilliant! Just wish the backing vocals were absent from the bridge. Bronco: The slowed semi-acoustic beginning is really good, feels like a full reimagining. The transition into the full production is amazing. But I don't think the latter half of the song feels like much of a departure from the original compared to the rest of the show tracks. BloodyVelvet: I had no idea this song could even get greater. Gaga was like : "Hold my drink" BeyonkaAte: Really enjoyed the acoustic beginning going into a full up-beat synth-forward sound like at the Grammys. LOVE hearing the crowd chanting in the background!! Can't compare to the album version though gagacabana: Magical, enchanting, like what abracadabra was always supposed to sound like. The only thing missing is the grammys opera part tbh Nightcallsmile: Great melodic shifts, and the transition to the second verse is amazing. Ladle Ghoulash: A near perfect live reimagining PlastiscGuy: The new rendition is just flawless. Huttont: Really fun rendition but missing the live opera vocals during the bridge. Hard to change an already perfect song. PartySick: Easily a Lady Gaga staple at this point. Few of her songs are so infectious and the way each live version has used that hook in different ways just MMM. I eat it up. "Abracada-bracada-bracadaaaaabraaaaah" is such an ear worm. PSYCHOSHTICK: The moment the acoustic version ends, something magical happens. Auralegends: I like the mix of accoustic/pop Ouranos: Out of all the live performances of abra I think this is my least favourite Stamos: Would have easily been a second 11, but rules are rules PornoDanceFight: The drop...oh LegendGa... Killah - 9.28 Highest Score: 11 — Bronco, Takox, PlastiscGuy, Huttont, elijahfan, Ilia Malinin, Ouranos, GAGASEXUAL Lowest Score: 1 — PornoDanceFight Comments: Spoiler princedebleble: Would be 11if the vocals were a bit differently delivered. Bronco: I WANNA FUUUUCK YOU LIKE AN ANIMAAAAAAAAAAL. One of two Requiem tracks where I'd kill for a studio release and to see it used on future tours. BloodyVelvet: Solid version BeyonkaAte: I WANNA FUCK YOU LIKE AN ANIMAAAAALLLLLLL pop all the way AWF mother break a chair over my back slam me into a brick wall PLS PLS PLS Gaga do more of this sound bc i am going FERAL !!! was this close to getting my 11 but the opening vocals were a bit too choppy so i docked it down to a 10 lmao gagacabana: I WANNA FUCK YOU LIKE AN ANIMAAALLLO Nightcallsmile: Just badass PlastiscGuy: Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, co-totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it Huttont: I didn’t think I could love Killah more than I already did. But Killah req makes me absolutely feral. PartySick: When I'm home alone I'll blast this song and sing it while stomping around my house all bug-eyed. I probably broke a vocal chord screaming "I WANNA F*CK YOU LIKE AN ANIMAL" PSYCHOSHTICK: YES. ''I WANNA FUCK YOU LIKE AN ANIMAL!!!!'' Gimme that Nine Inch Nails Closer vibe, this + Zombieboy and DWAS for the next album please. Ilia Malinin: this version lives RENT FREE in my head at all times Auralegends: Better than the album version Ouranos: My favourite live performance ever. Stamos: Vocals should be mixed better, however amazing as always PornoDanceFight: THEE SONG. I need her NIN collab YESTERDAY. The way how it slinks and stomps while also maintaining its queeny hook is the stuff that only Gaga can do. What a brilliant reinterpretation of the breakdown too. This song makes me want to dance in a cage suspended above a dark room at 5 AM. ANVEEROY 65,445
WINNER: #1. Die With a Smile - 9.66 Highest Score: 11 — Horny Chicken, elegidadedios, BloodyVelvet, Mars, Nightcallsmile, Ladle Ghoulash, JohnPokerface, TimotheeChalamet, PSYCHOSHTICK, Fernster7, MountainMonster, ManMan Lowest Score: 2 — Arcane Comments: Spoiler Horny Chicken: What a pleasant surprise! A clear winner for me. princedebleble: Wish this was the official Mayhem version, sorry not sorry! Bronco: Would also get an 11 with Killah if I could give 2. Makes DWAS fit within Mayhem for the first time rather than it feeling like an after thought. I was sceptical knowing this was the closing song since she did it in album order, but was pleasently surprised by this. Genuinely feels apocalyptic, like Fallout meets Synthwave. It's somehow analogue while digitised and I love it. BloodyVelvet: Honestly what a way to end the show. INCREDIBLE. LOVED IT SO MUCH. I wish this version was the actual version. BeyonkaAte: stunning !!! haunting !!! futuristic yet retro, completely different from the original glam rock version. How the hell did she manage that ?!?!?!?! what amusician! what an ARTIST! And the vocoder is eargamic omfgggggg I LOVE LADY GAGA gagacabana: Also didn't think I would ever give this song a 10 yet here we are Nightcallsmile: One of Gaga's most fascinating live performances of all time. Fully realized this song's potential as a post-apocalyptic love song. Praying LG8 picks up where this left. PlastiscGuy: PERFECT. Huttont: I would do anything for a studio version. My soul left my body when she came in with the vocoder. PartySick: Not actually on this album, not sure why it's part of this rate! Jk (but not really). This version absolutely blows the STANDALONE SINGLE version out of the water and turns a boring Bruno Mars track into what I can finally respect as a Gaga banger. PSYCHOSHTICK: Absolutely one of the best things she ever created in her career. It should've been released as a single to promote this live album. The song, the robotic vocoder, the outfit, the lighting, her face during the performance. HOW did she manage to make the song sound like an 80s apocalyptic movie? It reminds me of the paintings of Simon Stålenhag. I read one youtube comment saying something like ''this feels like the sad ending of an apocalyptic sci-fi movie, watching the robots take over the world with your lover by your side'' and another ''her final note sounds like a robot accepting the death of a loved one'' and I fully agree with both of them. Auralegends: At first listen I was not sure, but now I think it's very catchy. The fact that she changed a 3/4 song to a 4/4 pop song is amazing. Chromanne: Prefer this more than the album version PornoDanceFight: This + Killah (Requiem version) should be the sound of LG8 if she still wants to experiment in this sonic sandbox.
