The extent of Gaga's involvement in this

Early 2025.

Bobby stands in front of her desk and says 'We have an issue with a surfboard company'.

She lifts her head and raises an eyebrow at him over her glasses.

Bobby : 'I'll get on it'.

August 2026.

Bobby : 'That surfboard issue has been resolved'.

Gaga, without lifting her head : 'They're out of business and penniless then ...'

Bobby : 'I'll get on it''.

Gaga should now post the official MAYHEM logo on her social media and release Killah as the final single with the caption

„Lightin’ up my final cigarette I'll burn a hole right through your eyes. (…)I’m bout to wear you out like my favorite suit”

:stupidoreo:

Justice for the original Mayhem font that couldn’t be used on any of the tour stuff because of those dickwads

that isn't true at all, her tours usually use a different font to the album title

and if you read the article, you'll see the court case is over the use of the word mayhem rather than font choice and the judge allowed gaga to continue to use it freely in the meantime

This lawsuit was dead on arrival 💀

It’s copyright 101 that trademark alone isn’t absolute and won’t protect you against everything, especially when it’s not even the same product category (the album and tour name, for instance). And I get the impulse of trying to go after Gaga for the merch since they do have the trademark for clothing, but it’s pretty obvious such items are here as part of the album and we’re not made with the intent of confusing consumers. It’s honestly embarrassing that they went through all this without submitting evidence that their claims where legit.

That's where it feels like more of a moneygrab than a genuine protection of brand integrity. There would be no overlap between those products and no confusion between the very separate fan bases. When you're rich and well known it just places a target on your back for selfish opportunists to attack

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
