Maybe that’s just the theatre kid in me who used to obsessively watch and listen to bootlegs of Wicked, but that’s my two cents on it.

Also, just the other day, my sister was listening to a [(horrible)] kpop song that samples Bach's toccata and fugue in d minor, and I showed her the "original" rendition and she was gagged to know the music is over 300 years old. I'd argue that even a studio arrangement was, the day it was recorded, a live arrangement

I’m literally crying laughing thinking about how counterintuitive it is for the official time to be “1pm” global time (let’s say based on EST) and for that to mean it’s early afternoon on the east coast of the US and for it to be dead of night in China 😭 Like what is the point of it being the “same time” but for that time to mean two completely different things? The whole point of time zones is understanding what part of the day another part of the world is in, so by universalizing what time it is, 1pm doesn’t mean anything because it could either be: early afternoon, early evening, middle of the night etc

Why would that be funny though? 

1 PM (for example) is just a designation

With time, people would adapt to it looking differently around the world

& there would be no "timezone" confusion

People move around and travel though imagine being like WHY IS IT SO DARK AT 1PM, the jet lag!! 

What I do want is a universal date format 

It should be day month year everywhere, smallest to biggest, not month day year
