I hope he does. It would be stupid to waste all that money and people's time on a trial.

Not people still getting on their high horse for mourning the life or a scumbag :Cautious:

Applying sanctity of life clause to someone who actively worked to destroy life (successfully) makes you a hypocrite if anything

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

There's been an uptick of users on here turning towards the right.

Newsflash: they won't treat you any differently to the rest of us.

It's kinda scary that so many people are applauding murder and someone taking the law into their own hands - just becaude the guy is hot.

he could be incredibly ugly and i'd still applaud him for his actions

if only we had more brave souls like him to do what's right

mother, what must i do?

He is guilty because he killed a man.

But the man in question was a killer too.

That's why ppl have sympathy for him. The thing is that you cannot do justice by yourself. He's not an idiot, he didn’t do that to create a big change in the healthcare industry... He was simply vengeful for his own case.

I don’t think violence and vengeance are useful or good. The catharsis is here, but now he really ruined his life. At least he won’t get the d*ath penalty.

Probably under substances... An alchemist is born !

Shame Luigi didn't set off a Purge-style trend of hunting the rest of them down and doing serious damage. But yeahhh say no to violence or whatever :lolly:

I mean

it’s not like he’s not guilty lol

I gotta agree with you here. I mean, give the guy his day in court, but while the initial search had been bungled up a bit, I can’t imagine not coming to the conclusion that he did the shooting.

I feel like people saying the opposite are either conspiracy theorists, or just don’t have sympathy for the wealthy health insurance CEO and want Luigi to walk free to send a message.

Or they just think Luigi is hot (which he is, but that doesn’t matter to the court 💀)

I’ve never understood the “he’s not guilty/not the killer” theory. IMO, the only way he was going to be found not guilty was if they had to throw the case out because of the gross mishandling of evidence and presumption of guilt he was treated with by the NYPD.

Some are pushing serial killers groupies vibes. Quite disturbing tbh :messga:

agreed. idk maybe it’s because I was raised on Batman and don’t believe a citizen up and deciding to kill is the way to go, but also like… killing the CEO didn’t fix the healthcare system. so was it worth it?

do I think health insurance companies have dirty tendencies and try to wheedle out of paying for things they should? absolutely! it’s gross and should be answered for.

there’s been such a desensitization to assassination and a cheapening of life that I just can’t get behind. what’s to stop someone from killing someone you (not you, but like… the collective you) care about because in the moment they “thought it was right”?

Why do we keep pretending most change throughout history hasn’t been through violence?

A lot of you are so brainwashed into believing this whole “Peace is the only way to achieve change” propaganda that world governments conveniently back.

In the US specifically, the Civil Rights movement was successful mostly through peaceful means but not entirely. There were more violent factions that were key in advancing the cause.

We need to end this rewriting of history.

It’s true that in modern times peaceful movements have made many advances and have been more successful than violent ones.

But to act like this hasn’t been a common occurrence throughout human history is crazy.

And it was the violent factions that forced politicians to accept the moderate position.

And the violent factions that defended people until the change came about.

Like who do you think was protecting black neighbourhoods from the KKk? A white college kid prayer circle?

Peace isn't the only way to achieve things, but there's a whoooole ass spectrum of protest, or litigation, that can happen before resulting to vigilante murder. Isn't this why folks are so against the death penalty?

Like, smashing some sh!t up in protest is still leaps and bounds better than killing someone, and that isn't necessarily "peaceful"

I just don't believe murder is the answer here (I know it's not, because the CEO was murdered and nothing changed, except heightened security), and to me it's just edgelord revolutionary larping to suggest that it is (not you specifically)
