Okay so Country was also one of the genres you voted you want MOST from Gaga! So exciting! So let’s take this further- vote as many options as you want!

🤠 Traditional Country — The foundational country sound: acoustic guitars, fiddles, steel guitar, and storytelling. Think Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, George Jones.

🪕 Bluegrass — Fast acoustic instrumentation featuring banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and tight vocal harmonies. Think Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs.

✨ Country Pop — Country songwriting and instrumentation blended with mainstream pop production. Think Shania Twain, Taylor Swift’s early career, Faith Hill.

🎸 Country Rock — Country mixed with rock guitars, drums, and a heavier, more energetic sound. Think The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, modern acts like Chris Stapleton

I'd love for her to go full Bobbie Gentry. 

Sinner's Prayer came close to that style of trad country mixed with southern gothic. 

Ode to Billie Joe & Fancy just scream Gaga. 

I'd also love to get some country pop & country rock that soundd like The Chicks, Little Big Town & Sugarland. Little White Church, Girl Crush, the whole Incredible Machine album, Sin Wagon, Goodbye Earl, Not Ready to Make Nice would be a great direction for her if she did country again (and did it properly). 

Also would have loved to have Patty Griffin included in the Joanne sessions. Would have really suited Joanne.

Thinking about country I'd want to see Gaga try has now reminded me that both The Chicks & Sugarland are doing anniversary tours of truly amazing albums but exclusively in the US
