River 129,501
Maybe it's time for this genius, the Mozart of our generation, the one and only, THE Beyonce.. to finally write her own music and stop pretending that she does, while sampling every breathing creature on earth. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy 2

I thought it was gonna be Sorayama because he called her out a few months ago. Bold of Sorayama to claim he invented an aesthetic he lifted from Fritz Lang’s Metropolis and has been cited numerous times in pop culture We have forgotten our public MANNERS 4

holy scheisse 23,097
That seems so egregious given it’s the intro to the song to not have credited it from the jump lol either way… top 5 Beyoncé song

Beyonce did use the Metropolis inspired look back in the day but some of this is a little too too close to his work. The sexy metallic cvnty android has been his iconic style for decades. Mind you, I adore Beyonce and went to the Renaissance tour twice and was obsessed with it to the same level as I was with The Monster Ball 2.0. And she brought a bit of it back for the Cowboy Carter show and I died! I would have died for an official Sorayama x Beyonce collection and he for sure would have been happy to do so as he did with The Weeknd. I have some of his shirts (one is vulgar af) and I check occasionally for some aftermarket Dior collab stuff so I am a fan of both. These are still gaggy: 1 1

These are still gaggy: “Some of them are too close to his work” but the look Beyoncé look you used as her referencing Metropolis is almost identical to the one you were comparing to Sorayama 😭. The point I’m making is that both are clearly derivative and share a similar reference point, so I think it’s difficult to claim he’s the specific inspiration We have forgotten our public MANNERS

But Sorayama made it his own by sexing it up and chroming it up and has been known for that style for ages. Beyonce just took from both sources, “A copy of a copy of a…” for my NIN girlies. In pop terms: Metropolis= Madonna Sorayama= Gaga Beyonce= Ava Max 2
