Even if you don’t like the music—I myself only like a handful of tracks—no one who really cares about music would dismiss any of the important drivers of it’s continued evolution. 

This dismissal acoustic based music or rock music or anything like that also is incredibly pretentious because it stems from a holier than tho attitude more often than not. Not to mention it’s closed minded. 

Add The Beatles to the boring list too. I won't deny they had impact in their context, I'm saying *I* find the music boring. When you have listened to Gal Costa, Elza Soares, Milton Nascimento, Jards Macalé, Djavan, Di Melo, Tom Zé and the likes, the complexity, the musicality, the poetry they have, you can't expect me to find Nirvana the next coming of Jesus musically, it will be impossible. Brazilian geniuses CLEAR any of these American and English acts.
