and almost no lyrics in the chours, especially on Chroma.

It was intentional due to Chromatica being inspired by house music.

why dont u explain why they arent safe?

Have you actually sat down and listened to the instrumentals from those albums? They're all over the place sonically and i say that in the nicest way possible :huntyga:

We all know the day she releases a VERY experimental jam album fans will stream it one week and drop it when it doesn't perform good in charts.

Sadly, you're correct.

There are points in every artists lives where they no longer have anything to say.

this is how we get extremely ambitious albums and then music just for the sake of music. Both are fine, but each feel different to the consumer.

Her music will likely change a bit when she becomes a mother and is then family oriented. Because she will have gained a new perspective she will again, have something to say. She established her message very early on in her career, and like you said, it can only go so far. She knew who she was swinging out the door, while most other artists grow into their own niches.

The dead dance, shadow of a man, zombie boy, don’t call tonight could’ve been on Future nostalgia

Some of the songs could’ve been on Miley Cyrus plastic hearts

How bad do you want me could’ve been on 1989 sorry I know that’s way beyond only the last 5 years lol honestly don’t call tonight could’ve been on that album too

so ok there’s 3 albums well over last 5 years

look all I’m saying is mayhem doesn’t bring anything new to the table ok and for the last 10 years Gaga been SAFE and often rap into genericland

sorry but no, these songs would stick out on those albums painfully

theres absolutely no way any of those would fit into FN and HBDYWM sounds miles apart from taylor if you actually listen to the song

and I didn't mean scatter the songs across different albums. I said find me 3 albums that sounds like mayhem, which includes albums that have songs like disease, abra, goes, killah, hbdywm and bog in ONE record

if mayhem is as common as you say it is, this should be really easy to answer

mother, what must i do?

Oh please, not even you believe that. Mayhem showcased that Gaga is confident in her artistry and what are her influences that's been her influences long before Dua released FN Miley relesed PH and Taylor released 1989, basically what makes her who she is. While you literary have songs on TF and TFM that were initially written for The Pussycat Dolls and Brittney Spears.

I agree, to an extent.

Mayhem I saw as being Gaga almost proving to herself and the rest of the world that she could still make smash hit records loved by everyone again. She went back to the monster and Halloween themes that fans loved on TFM/BTW but updated them with a fresh industrial sound. That way it sounded new and exciting, but also familiar for people.

However, what she does next musically will be really interesting as she's had so much praise for Mayhem. Does she stay with what she's best at and what people love most from her, or does she spin things again? I'd love her to change things up, but considering the hate she gets from some fans about Joanne and her jazz records, I'm not sure how daring she'll be in terms of stepping away from the pop that she's best at. Personally I love her at her most daring so I'm up for her going completely left field next:rockstar:

Are people still debating wether Mayhem was written with other artists in mind, which is clearly what it is and proven by the times she said it's something she likes to do? :enigma: girl was at home doing seances and channeling a whole lotta dead people, alive too :laughga:

I think it was fresh just for us that had Chromatica before it and were thirsty for her to do something else. Mayhem is an amazing album, great mixing (I absolutely love the production), lots of personality, some things SHE hadn't done before, but it's pure emulation. For people who listen to A LOT of music, there's nothing really NEW NEW NEW there, it's just a feeling of "oh finally she dabbled into that thing I wanted her to try that absolutely existed before".

'Is Gaga a mediocre songwriter?'

'Gaga has become too safe.'

'Do you think Gaga had unrequited love 4 Cooper?'

You just gotta love GGD during slow news months :awkney:

I actually really hate this. Some people don’t understand how this could impact the newer fans experience ans stay acting miserable 24/7 but every action has consequences… and i hate how nobody sees the big picture… over the last 2 years we got: mayhem requiem, mayhem, the art of personal chaos, harlequin, harlequin one night special and chromatica ball film . This run is visually stunning and sonically interesting gaga was able to innovate and make excellent pop music on mayhem and she re arranged all the songs for mayhem requiem to make then even more interesting and experimental and she still gets unfairly criticised, while other artists releases the same album 6 times and gets all the praise lol. like compare gaga with the mainstream artists and you will see how gaga is miles ahead of them and a lot more interesting but these fans always acting like it’s the opposite because they outgrown her or just don’t believe in her which is weird

It's not criticism per se and falling out of love. It's aesthetic analysis and getting deeper into it after the recency bias fades. Should be ok to still love the work and continue to break it down, means it got enough stuffing to be able to do it, not the end of the world for an artist. Knowing a little bit of that brain, she's probably doing it at home by herself too. Problem is a lot of people mix too much of their emotions reading and writing up arguments :vegas:

Whatever you call it it’s still weird to try and over analyse something that was greatly received by everyone just so you could prove your point which is mostly negative point instead of just leave the work be greatly received and loved as it is
