It fits some of the songs too.

Sonically, I love how the album goes from a more dark/ grunge/ industrial rock/ techno vibe (Disease, Abra, GOE, Perfect Celebrity, CSTH) into a much more groovy/ funk/ disco sounds (VIY, Killah, Zombieboy) and even 80s (with Lovedrug).

It's like Gaga made a creature of Frankenstein of an album, with all her different styles. It also perfectly demonstrates her infamous "not afraid to reference" speech.

 

 

I love the lore but I think this is reading into Mayhem as a title too much. I think her explanation of it was what it was meant to be.

“mayhem” is perfect as a title for this project because, well, it’s basically a mixtape of different genres and styles of music. It fits perfectly imo

Jokes aside, "MAYHEM" is perfect. The only thing I'd say is that I'm kinda tired of the one-word-but-shocking type of album titles. I dream about the day long titles come back. For example I remember her during early interviews for the promo roll out saying "a series of gothic dreams" or "what's in a gothic dream" and thinking wow that would be a nice title

I don’t think Happy Mistake is strong enough for an album title, I like Mayhem now but I didn’t like it when it was announced

i mean that is the direct meaning of it, you don't have to read too deep in it, and she named the character Mayhem too, i think that had to do with her choosing the title as well, she never said that explaining the title lol, have you even seen her telling what her thinking was?
