If an album drops and has little to no impact outside of a pre-existing fan community, it's absolutely fair to compare its release reception to tumbleweeds & crickets. Because there is no drawn line where "this is success" lands, you can just shift your perception and move the goal-post forever. I can't lose the feeling that people really compare this album to the brat success, even though there were disclaimers from the mile that it won't be the same caliber, but people are still upset and just say crickets and tumbleweed.
