Yeah nothing is really adding up, between what sheeeee is saying and what her teeeeam has said recently regarding the step back

I'm actually appalled at how bad her PR team is. Between allowing that cut of Petal video to be released to their statement where they gaslighted the hell out the public and made it seem like it’s our fault she has to leave public’s eye. I hope she cleans out the house.

Wow

this feels very strategic and calculated

to release this music video in which she is exposing the extreme physical condition of her body and THEN announce her stepping back..and blaming it on public scrutiny.. but then back tracking and saying it’s not because of negativity or scrutiny 

it feels like they’re all (her team) exploiting her body to be at the center of headlines just to put Ariana at the center of media attention in general

Sure enough, this hiatus was planned. Contradicting her rep's statement shows there's a disconnect between what she thinks and what her team wants. Her rep's narrative is "stop bullying her" and Ari's narrative is "I just needed a break for a long time." Her clarification suggests that she doesn't believe there's a problem but her team sure as hell does. Whatever it is, perhaps not constantly working will allow her to get better but knowing her, she says she's taking a break and then doesn't. She said during the Wicked press tour that there would be no music for quite a while because she wanted to concentrate on acting...then put out Eternal Sunshine and then announced a tour for it and then put out Petal. Just hoping she'll be ok and doesn't listen to anyone wanting her to come back before she's ready. Her fans have more than enough material to keep them going for quite some time.

She has an eating disorder and people are mocking her, blaming her, and concentrating on her body. Obviously she will want to leave, and if she did not lie and say it was long planned, everyone would be even more concerned and come up with conspiracies about her.
