I don’t blame her for taking a break honestly. I mean look at how people reacted to her Wicked promo cycle as if she wasn’t a theatre kid living her literal dream, same for Cynthia. To the point Cynthia now refuses to talk about Wicked and doesn’t do the riff for fun when people ask anymore.

I'm not the kind of person who gets offended or triggered by people commenting on her physical appearance, and whether or not that is a factor in why she's taking a break will never be certain unless she explicitly confirms it.

And while I think it's important to raise concerns, I also think people should refrain from talking about people's bodies in general. We don't know what she may be going through, so it may or may not be more complicated than "she has an eating disorder" or something like that. I think of how people were commenting on Chadwick Boseman's appearance shortly before he passed, and that sh*t never sat right with me.

I'm just glad to know it was all planned and not a last minute decision because something serious has happened. Honestly after everything she's gone through during her entire career she definitely deserves this break.

tbf, if you have fvck you money, why not just take 1-2 years off. At the end of the days she's also just one person who already has worked a lot. The new record is quite nice I feel and in time I'll click with it more, but knowing now she's planned on taking a break, she probably had to fulfill some part of her contract before she can f off for a little while. Good for her 💖

I mean the ongoing intense public scrutiny started with the first Wicked promo tour. And there's been a lot of talk since then that she was going to take a break after it all came to a close.

So I don't see her saying this is a long term plan is contradictory to her team saying she wants time out from being in the public eye.

she's dropped an album almost every single year for the past 13 years, she deserves to take a break a live life a bit, have some new experiences out of the spotlight etc... and of course get healthy.
