A representative for Grande tells PEOPLE exclusively, "Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour."

"She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny," the rep continues. "This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much."

The Ethan breakup and Ricky relationships being perfectly coordinated with the single release, tour, and album definitely raised my eyebrows. 

She still has a movie premiere in November. I wonder if she will still do a press tour for it…

She just dropped out of Sunday in the park. Honestly, good for her. For all we know she's trying to heal and the constant press is triggering her. In all cases I wish her the best.

Sounds like a softened/curated annoucement of retirement..

I thought about Rihanna and Adele the other day. They were so massive forces in music and vanished, while Gaga couldn't compete with either of them in terms of singles/albums. Now they are gone from music while Gaga is still active and successful. 

Maybe Ariana will be the next one to willingly retire instead of being forced into the Khia asylum like Katy.
