A hallmark of Gaga music is it drawing from disparate inspirations and bringing them together. He does not have the musical vernacular to work effectively with her. Madeon and DJWS, for example, are wonderful bc of their backgrounds. Madeon grew up playing other music and his youth and French electronic specifically was different for her and DJWS with his heavy hip hop and trap roots added a lot to both BTW and ARTPOP.
