Not something new but in her veins i think Nah she doesn't have the vocals to do that. 3 hours ago, Oriane said: I disagree, I think it really fits the sound actually! But also, I have synesthesia and blues/southern rock looks very ochre to me, so I'm biased Colour vise yes, but the image itself is so sad next to her other covers thou the latest one I don't get why she's in a chatolic school again at basically 30.
StrawberryBlond 15,566
Lizzo's B***h - With such an aggressive title and with the cover art of a middle finger, you'd think it would be full of sassy, bombastic songs and it isn't...was actually quite vulnerable in places and her older stuff would've suited this name better. Taylor's Life of a Showgirl - Everything people said above. She may be a performer but she's never presented herself in a way that's specific to a showgirl and the music just sounds like the style she's been giving us for over a decade now with nothing interesting to say. Ariana's Dangerous Woman - Suggests a dominantly sexual set of songs especially when coupled with the early imagery of S&M masks (one of the secondary videos for the lead single never got released where she was wearing that too) and what we got was her classic sex kitten submissive sexuality. Good album but the title doesn't really make sense. And while I've not heard all of it, from what I have heard of Justin's Swag albums, they sound like bland acoustic songs for the most part and nothing remotely suggesting of coolness or trend-setting. I find the album very sad tbh, The Devil's back always gets me She's also clearly depressed in a lot of these songs, even if she's conveying it in an angry way. Yeah, I see the last album as finding a path through this depression and going back to what she believed in her early life. Sonically, it doesn't sound like Light me up, but spiritually, I see a lot of the simplicity of the first album coming back to this one, so I think it's a bit of a nod to that cover too. If anything, I'd say that Death by rock n roll doesn't sound like it looks, it really looks like another Gothic album. The only GGD member who can read / Credits to Celloo Deng for the profile pic! elegidadedios 4,891
All of this made me think of how I truly want Gaga to pull a misleading title + aesthetic for an album on purpose, to an extreme level. Like imagine LG8 being titled "A Joyful Look Into The Current World" but the topics are war, politics, power dynamics, savage capitalism, etc 😍 Jk about the last part lol. Not gonna happen. But I'm serious about the first part, it would be a really interesting way of creating a solid narrative. Mostly because I don't particularly think doing so is a bag thing, as long as it has an artistic reason behind It. I'm pretty sure many have done it before (even tho I can't give out an example) Edited Wednesday at 09:34 PM by elegidadedios

And this is coming from a Taylor enjoyer. The album’s title and visuals were extremely misleading based on the sound. Showgirl where? This, and I'm not even talking about the Showgirl cabaret aesthetic, it was also promoted as her next 1989 type of pop Bible and it ended up being just a couple of songs with some guitars in it. Only the first 3 songs are worthy 13 | this is my dancefloor i fought for, your voice is louder, it echoes
