Netflix says they are not going to release season faster despite stagnant performance

On the issue of a drop between Seasons 1 and 2, Netflix Co-CEO downplayed previous reports of sharp season 2 drops and said that “in the aggregate,” the falloff between Seasons 1 and 2 is actually slightly improved this year compared to last year. To that end, Sarandos denied that there’s any change in strategy moving forward. So no releasing episodes one at a time instead of all at once, or adjusting the gap of time between various seasons. 

“Very often we see drop off from Season 1 to Season 2. It’s very common in the industry, but it’s even more so with us, because we launch our shows so big,” Sarandos said. “Our shows tend to start really big where most other places their shows start pretty small and grow from there.

Because people forget the show exists by the time season 2 comes and noone cares anymore  like I wish I could continue watching Margo has money problems and Widows bay, but alas..

well if netflix didn't cancel everything they make after 1 season, i might be more willing to get invested more often in a show

Im still pissed about The OA.  It got 2 seasons, then *poof* canceled.
