and plenty of other things. It’s well known the human brain isn’t done developing until around 25. But even besides that fact- any person more than double digits the senior of their partner is always going to be looked at in that manner, rightfully so. It’s predatory, regardless of gender. I feel like a lot of the people saying good for her in this thread are the same people throwing up and making jokes about Leo decap’s  25 year old girlfriend of the year. Like, do you not see the hypocrisy? Lol

Lol 22 year olds can do all of that in my country. Honestly I can't think of anything here that's not restricted after 18. My parents were married, owned their own house and had my brother by 21. And the brain not developing until 25 is a myth based on a study where the participants were no older than their early 20's anyway. The brain changes throughout life.

Also just on topic she has a point about the double standards between men and women, but it still doesn't make it right. Not necessarily wrong either.. but it does skew that way, regardless of the genders. 22 is still so, so young. As a 34 year old 22 feels off limits. I already feel like there's a maturity gap and that I would be dating someone so much more naive to the world and less experienced. And also that the generational gap would feel strange. We're gonna sit there while I reminisce about landline telephones, film cameras and camcorders while they have literally 500 iphone videos of them as a baby? I think that anything over like.. 27 is completely fair game. 25 at the youngest. But we're all going to feel differently on the topic. It's a situation by situation basis

I kinda agree, the age-gap is very important. Same for Leonardo DiCaprio or Mike Jagger dating litteral 19yo and 20yo people.

Most people at these age are biologically still teens because their brain is still teen until 30yo. It’s not bc it’s legal that it’s normal... How many 20yo ppl regret dating older people ? It usually end up with abuses.

Ok it’s their choices, but let’s not normalize it too.

Yeah she looks younger than 65yo but again we are praising her for not looking old... But it’s still about youthfulness and toxicity of our society.

Kathy is ignoring the fact that age gaps are an issue, and is trying to justify it because we allow men to do it, and her focus is if men can do it, then women can do it. So based on that logic, if society gives men a free pass with rape culture, should we speak against rape, or advocate for women to get a free pass to rape? Do you get the comparison now? Im using an extreme example to show her logic is flawed.
