Pretty different for her. Love the slinky, loungey vibes of the verses, the grit on the electric guitars, and the synths + floating feeling of the chorus. Good track, def looking forward to the album

It has a very classic PB feel, but it’s a little “been there, done that” both musically and lyrically imo. It’s a good track, but I was kinda hoping for a little more growth (but we’ll see what the album brings).

Oh I totally agree. It's not even close to a standout PB track. And it is very, very "her".

But I am such a fan of her delivery, that way she tears at my dang soul without even trying, that even mid PB is better than just about anyone else at scratching that particular itch.

(My all time favorite artist is probably Elliott Smith, so I love uber depressing/twinge of hope singer songwriters and Phoebe is the best in the business at that from my vantage point.)

Punisher was one of my fave albums of 2020 so I totally you get you. Elliott’s also absolutely brilliant btw
