liamgaga 789
As someone who has had incredibly poor mental health and lost weight due to it (even starting anti depressants made me so nauseous I couldn't eat properly for weeks) - I cannot imagine having millions comment on my weight, it'd probably make me more anxious and therefore nauseous! I hope she is okay but we should be careful with what we are saying, i really feel for her right now

Stylor 88
She has had an ED since the beginning of her music career. She was big in the pro-Ana community on tumblr in 2013. The only time she was healthy was in 2019, which is when her own fans started calling her ‘Fatiana’. Then she deleted her Twitter account and her ED started getting worse again, but it was not until Wicked that it got completely out of control. She’s so so deep in her ED now that everything she does seems to be ED-coded. It’s really sad. She seems to love exposing her chest area and shoulder because people get concerned and it validates her ED. She seriously needs help. Most anorexics die in their 30s. Karen Carpenter was 32 when she passed way. She way in recovery, but the damage she had done to her body and heart was irreparable. This attitude is not ok. Nobody is saying she is ugly, she definitely isn’t. But the majority of the comments are out of concern for both her and young impressionable kids thinking that looks healthy. It’s not that it’s *wrong* to express concern, it’s the fact that people are not only speaking with so much certainty/authority about what she’s going through without really knowing and some going as far as to say it’s “disgusting” and that she’s setting a bad example. Like if you actually gave a **** about someone suffering from an eating disorder, you wouldn’t pile on and cast such harsh judgement. If she’s unwell, I hope she has people near her who can support her, but people def have to be more mindful about how they’re talking about her body. 100000%. Remember when Chadwick Boseman showed up very thin and people were clowning on him because of it? You never know what people are going through, and it's frankly disgusting that so many people are quick to judge others for their physical appearance. Even if she wasn't really thin—which I do think she is, which can be concerning—commenting on people's bodies has always been a no-go for me. We don't know if she's going through something mentally or emotionally too. Regardless, if she needs help, I hope she gets it. If she doesn't, then people need to stop being comfortable with talking about others as if they know everything about them. Anderson123 42,350
I feel bad that she probably has read about this online whether it's the concerned comments or the internet shady articles but there's something wrong with her. Could be grief from losing Nonna, her divorce, overwork with the new album and tour or just a period in her life that she's not feeling the best at but you can really see it in her face, it's not just the body weight loss. imogen2133 468
I think I can add something here, there is a difference between being naturally skinny and petite but still healthy and being severely thin due to an ED. I have been naturally very skinny and underweight my whole life due to a very fast metabolism and am currently a few kilos underweight, doesn't matter how much I eat or if I am lazy I don't gain weight and I was actually bullied for it back in school which made me have a complex about it at the time and seeing people say things about her like "her collar bones shouldn't stick out that much" or "you shouldn't be able to see the bones in her hands or her wrist bones sticking out" has made me feel a bit self conscious tbh because I have those things. I am relatively healthy still but I also have thyroid issues and anemia which doesn't help. Anyway from what I have seen Ariana does seem to be much thinner than she usually is and under the "naturally skinny but still healthy" range even though she has been skinny and petite through most of her career up to this point. (I don't think seeing the tendons that much in her arms with no fat at all is really healthy), I wish the best for her and I obviously can't say 100% if something is wrong or not but I think people speaking up about it and showing concern could hopefully motivate someone around her to say something and help her, that is why I don't get people saying "we shouldn't say anything we can't do anything anyway" because it could lead to something positive if it is discussed enough, saying nothing could end up doing more harm than good in the long run.
