Those "drugs" she was taking are what help millions of people live functional lives after being diagnosed with a mental illness. Britney was not a lab rat; she was receiving treatment that, in some way, helped her remain functional.

Her behavior is not normal. She has a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, and alcohol use—along with the fact that she is probably not receiving medical treatment—is likely making her situation worse.

Bipolar disorder is a progressive illness. The longer it goes untreated, the greater the risk of lasting and potentially irreversible damage to the brain.

I'm not defending the actions of her family or her team in the past, but it is clear that she needs help.

No she’s not okay but also I don’t believe she’s sorrounded by people who wants to see her thrive  Cade is at best a yes man, but he has Britney isolated and I’m sure he’s sided with her family to jump when Britney does something wrong and frame her again he already did it with the driving incident

The problem is that she forced onto medication that she didn't need. Lithium is a severe example of this, and that created problems.

I totally understand that she went through years of trauma, and it can account for some of her behavior, but I don't think she's having a "normal" reaction. I'm not her doctor, but what I perceive this to be is that she would benefit from a regimen of medication & therapy to put her mind in a "level" state that maybe she hasn't been having since she became free to make her own choices about her life.

Again, this is just my theory, and I can understand WHY she would rebel against something like this, but she definitely has mental health issues that need maintenance so she can start each day on a level playing field.

As a lifelong fan, I just want her to have balance in her life that keeps her happy, healthy, and not getting her into trouble (like with DUIs and having drugs on her that weren't prescribed to her.)

Lithium is not the reason she acts that way. I know it's a medication that should not be taken lightly, as it can affect kidney and thyroid function, which are among its most significant potential side effects. However, with proper monitoring and follow-up, those risks can usually be managed effectively.

I'm aware of that, but the forced Lithium dosages gave her trauma associated with therapy and psychiatry. Knowing the situation she was in, I question if she did get the proper follow up required.

oh yeah I agree, something happened during her past treatments that is making her reject it today. One of the main challenges in bipolar disorder is the lack of insight into the illness and poor treatment adherence. I just wish she could get the help she needs
