I’m not Jewish and have no ties to Israel whatsoever, but I’ve been feeling alarmed and overwhelmed with the extreme rise of antisemitism since October 7. And I know I’m not the only one. I just can’t imagine how Jewish people are feeling. I used to consider myself a progressive and leftist, but October 7 was a wake-up call. I’ll never forget the DSA and other leftist organizations organizing rallies on October 7 when the massacre was still taking place. Those were not protests, they were celebrations. Far-right Nazis were always out there, but the current red–green–brown alliance is what made antisemitism mainstream again. And this is why antisemitism from the left hurts the most. The obsession with a tiny country the size of New Jersey will never be normal. Liberal Zionists, which leftists love to hate on, were always on the forefront of every single civil right movement in America. And all of sudden, leftists thew them under the bus to align with people they have nothing to do with, except their hatred of Israel. You can support universal healthcare, public transportation, college affordability, labor unions etc, but if you support Israel’s right to exist, then you have no place in the left today. But if you’re against all of that, religious fanatic, openly antisemitic, but make being anti-Israel your entire personality, you’ll be more than welcome by ‘progressives.’ Liberals and centrists seem to be the only normal people left. Anyway, I just wish things would go back to how they were before. But I will always support Israel and the Jewish people, the kindest and most extraordinary people I’ve ever met. Probably one of the cleanest examples of AAZDS (Anti-Anti-Zionist Derangement Syndrome) I’ve seen. Anyway, thoughts on the illegal occupation of the West Bank? Anyway, thoughts on the illegal occupation of the West Bank? The situation in the West Bank is complicated, but I don’t believe in ‘Greater Israel’ theory. Israel literally controlled the entire Sinai Peninsula at one point and gave it back to Egypt for peace, and had also completely left Gaza for like 20 years. I think Israel was willing to give land in exchange for peace, but October 7 changed everything. Thoughts on leftists celebrating Elias Rodriguez and the Boulder fire attack and calling for violence in general against Zionists?

Meanwhile, these settlers lynch Palestinians with immunity, Palestinians functionally have no rights (governed by Israeli military law, whereas settlers are protected by Israeli civilian law) and the government actively subsidizes settlement and expansion. As far as Greater Israel is concerned, it’s been endorsed by Smotritch, Netanyahu, and Gvir, so not really sure why you wouldn’t believe it. Not only has it been explicitly endorsed by the sitting government, Ben-Gurion also explicitly stated that the original Israeli borders were conditional upon the founding of the state of Israel and that expansion was always the goal. Obviously wrong and the fact that you had to resort to stochastic terrorism as a counter example to state sanctioned violence and military expansionism is pretty unserious ngl. You literally had to go to the lunatic fringe to justify your position and all I had to do was look to what the Israeli government has been doing and saying. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005 and then reimposed an air, land, and sea blockade in 2007. They only ever “left” for 2 years. TheARTPOPball 1,674
Satanyahu and his goons need to be cleared tf outta there. it’s became very evident that they are extreme aggressors. This is trumps moment to do his single good deed and pull up outta there. There is no possible circumstance where two nuclear powers showing this much aggression is going to end well and it’s obvious that the Israeli government has no intention on maintaining any sort of peace. I can do nothing but pray for the safety of the innocent lives that will be put at risk for these barbaric political wars.

Thoughts on leftists celebrating Elias Rodriguez and the Boulder fire attack and calling for violence in general against Zionists? tbh the situation in the west bank is not complicated at all, it's the most stable and beneficial situation that Israel could ask for. It's Smotrich who called Hamas and asset and Fatah a problem. I don't think the west bank should be blamed for Gaza's actions in 7th October. First thing that Israel had to do immediately after 7th October is to tight the relations with the West Bank and to work on a solution. Instead they abused 7th October to take more lands and to harm more Palestinians in the west bank, especially when the international eye was on gaza and forgot the west bank. But the Israeli government needs Hamas, that's why they didn't eliminate them like they bragged about doing for 3 years... There could be peace with the west bank tomorrow if they wanted. Netanyahu created the narrative that there's no "partner" at the west bank while funding Hamas for a reason, empowering Hamas was beneficial for him to keep the fear and propaganda. If Trump were to tear up our "alliance" (abusive relationship) with Israel I would literally buy a MAGA hat and wear it every day until he left office. Lord Mayhem 3,536
Iran has just closed the Strait once again due to the attacks on Lebanon by Israel. The ceasefire and "understanding" didn't even last a few days. Trump must be furious know Bibi is literally sabotaging him and forcing the war to continue costing Trump billions and impacting global markets. What an ally...

I don't understand why Israel is even considered an ally to the US. They've spied on us for decades, waved our alliance around as a weapon/threat, stolen our tax dollars to pay off other nations' regimes, lobbied their way into a position of influence over politicians, and even now they're lobbying to push legislation through congress to basically meld the US and Israeli militaries together. Peace with Iran post-idiot war was always contingent on Israel limiting their violence in Lebanon. Iran has been clear about that since day one. But Israel's leaders feel they already clowned us into the war they can clown us out of the end of the war too. I dare say they're our biggest enemy, not our "greatest ally". It's almost encouraging that Trump finally feels like he's being made a fool of and both he and Vance are openly speaking about Israel blowing this.
