Sometimes I miss this shady side of her, I know Gaga now is all about Kindness(punktm) but back then her being dramatic was kinda fun and I mean it was obvious that plenty of other pop singers at that time (Rihanna, Katy, Beyonce) changed up their style to be more "crazy" or out there once Gaga came onto the scene in her outfits and honestly I don't think that was bad, it encouraged creativity and made pop more interesting at the time for a while.

The Katy Perry shade tweet reminded me of the Die Antwoord shade tweet, I was kinda pleasantly surprised to find it's still up and not deleted:

I remember the fan discourse over these kinds of tweets, was Gaga being a #meangirl and should she be above it and not tweet like this about other artists, etc. I thought it was a pretty good jab  even though I listened to a lot of DA at the time

Time has shown that Die Antwoord to be the true cockroaches. Better that that collaboration never happened.

As far as dodgy tweets go, this one always sticks out to me:

I recall she was tweeting on a plane (maybe a jumbo jet she'd been given all to herself?) And then the subsequent fan meltdown and her trying to deflect and say it was because she thought someone was leaking ARTPOP (which I didn't buy). But tbf I think "follow me" tweets are shallow, cheap and needy so good for her. Just unfortunate that it seems like punching down.

Her roughest moment on Twitter has to be that time when a girl kept tweeting at her some really nasty sh*t and instead of blocking her or ignoring her Gaga responded to her. It wasn't even a snap back at the girl, I think Gaga said something about loving her as a fan, but it still kind of gave me an ick. Ain't no reason to respond to someone so nasty when there are actual fans who would have been grateful for that kind of interaction. I'm sure there are screenshots of it, but I'm too lazy to look for it lol

Regardless, I think this led to fans thinking that if they keep throwing sh*t at her on Twitter then they'll get a response from Gaga. I think this what made her stop using social media as much too.

There's a tweet where she added the hashtag #calltherapist and I just remember reading it and thinking to myself "call the WHO?!?" before I realized that she meant "call therapist" lmao

She didn’t sound hysterical or bizarre to me, she sounded incredibly scared. Imagine what he did leading up to that point for her to blow up like that.
