I see it as a metaphor for life kind of thing. I know at work I've been told to never get too comfortable which is kind of like what your volleyball coach was trying to teach you. Like with the Spurs it can be interesting to see if this something they can learn and grow from. It's sort of like why I started watching the Jets again... "never get too comfortable" is another lesson and phrase i've heard over time. i used to watch Big Brother a long while ago, and something the players would discuss was that sense of comfortability. a lot of times, people who got too comfortable ended up going home. it's the same when it comes to work, personal life goals/ bettering yourself, etc. sports teams and their players are just another major example of that. lmaoo the Jets.. i was originally going to use them as an example in my previous reply a lot of people in my family are Jets fans, and i know very well their situation lol. it makes a lot of sense to me as to why you root for them, because of that connection. there is a specific esports team that i was rooting for a handful of years ago, for this reason lol. they ended up taking the championship after being the worst team in the roster (one specific year they had a 42 game losing streak lol). even though they weren't my main team, i ended up paying more attention to them as i got more into it. rooting for the underdog is one of the best things in general, and i just know that when the Jets eventually get it together and win, it's going to be absolutely insane 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
