Midterms always shape the invisible primary. And if the Dems do as well as they could possibly do, the Republican candidate will end up being someone from outside of the current potential pack. They either have to run as a continunity candidate from within his team, or directly clash with him. Continuity loses them the general, clashing with him loses them the primaries (Trumps core 30%).
