because the man was already married and had a kid with someone else, very clear this was just a fleeting thing from the start lol

people who give up on vows and promises that easy ain't sh*t

So you’re basically saying that if you’re married and have a child, you should stay in that relationship for life even if you’re unhappy?

Isn’t your own happiness worth giving a chance?

i need to know where you came to that conclusion cus i did not say that at all lol

if you, as an adult, go as far as getting married and having a child with somebody you haven't been happy with for a while, that's your own fault

you can leave them, stick with them, do whatever you want but you'd but an absolute asshole for leading somebody on for that long just to suddenly turn around and say you're not happy

communication is a core part of relationships and if you struggle to communicate, work on that before getting deeply involved is what i'm saying

your own happiness is worth a chance if you're not screwing people over along the way

I actually don’t disagree that people should communicate properly and not blindside their partners. That’s just basic respect.

I think where we differ is that you’re judging the decision mostly by how it ended, whereas I’m looking at what they likely believed at the time.

None of us know whether they thought it was going to last forever or not. Plenty of people leave marriages because they genuinely believe they’ve found the person they’re meant to be with. Sometimes they’re right, sometimes they’re wrong.

I just don’t think a relationship ending later automatically proves it was “for nothing”. It can still have been a real relationship, even if it ultimately didn’t work out.

What I don't get is how when you're in a relationship and married you're like.. **** it, lets leave it all for this new crush? Like when in a relationship I barely look at a man and think, oh I'd hit that, let alone oh I'll leave my bf of x years for this person. Either their marriages we're ****ed as they were (which at least Ari heavily aluded in her music) and they saw something better for each other, or perhaps it's just how Hollywood moves and  you can't help but get that thing that you like.
Idk.. it's their lives, but I'll never understand the cheaters and those who are ok with taking taken people.

technically they chose to make it our business by choosing public careers. i couldn't care less but celebrities do sell their privacy away as soon as they get on those magazine covers. :messga:

That’s an interesting point of view. I wonder what Princess Diana would make of your take.

i love how you people always come out with the most random examples that are completely unrelated just to try to prove a nonexistent point. :laughga: Princess Diana was born in a highly problematic british aristocratic system where she was basically arranged-marriaged away to the Prince of England. It's not like she really had that much choice in the matter and that's a situation where even a divorce does not bring you out of the spotlight since you are the parent to the heirs of the throne. She also kept doing lots of public appearances and interviews after the divorce and voluntarily kept a high profile to spite the Royal Family, instead of disappearing into a castle somewhere and never seeing the light of day. What happened to her was unfortunate and tragic, but everything in life unfortunately comes at a cost, especially fame. But also comparing a Royal person to someone who is in the entertainment industry is such a wild and ridiculous stretch that I just cannot take you seriously anymore, sorry. :messga:

It really is simple. Writing a whole-ass paragraph to justify your interest in other people’s private business doesn’t make it Ok. But do write a book if you enjoy it, that really won’t affect my life or point of view in any way.

lmao. I literally said in the post you originally commented that I couldn't care less about their private lives, but just made an observation that choosing highly public careers was guaranteed to lead to media scrutiny. It's not like Ari grew up in a world where Britney, Mariah, and Princess Di did not come before, so she already was full aware of the risks. You could argue she started too young to fully realize but also nothing is stopping her from quitting the industry altogether - she is remaining in it by choice, and good for her. But acting like they are powerless victims who have no agency or control over their lives is just ridiculous. It's also ridiculous that you are claiming I'm interested in people's private business when I honestly haven't made a single comment about her relationship or breakup because I simply do not give a rat's ass. But for someone who claims not to care about people's private business, you were very quick to swoop into here for all the gossip.

I am not saying media scrutiny is good. I am saying that a global pop star in the modern media environment knows it comes with the job, and should accept it as part of the job. Most people are expected to wake up at 8am as part of their job, to earn their salary. I don't, so I don't accept jobs that expect that. Each job has its expectations, fame is no different.

Just giving you a heads up that you sound increasingly butt-hurt and dishonest, you wouldn’t need all this talking if you were convinced of the point you were trying to make.

As I pointed out a few comments above, my sole interest in this thread was to say none of this was our business, which is literally the only statement I made, albeit repeatedly thanks to users like yourself who felt personally attacked by this very simple sentiment.

Just giving you a head's up that you sound increasingly butt-hurt and dishonest because you've just resorted to turning tables because you have nothing of value to say anymore. :kiss:I literally wrote explanations of my viewpoint and your only response is to insult me personally for no reason because you know I'm right and my points are valid. :ladyhaha: I couldn't care less about what you think, so claiming I felt personally attacked by you is the funniest thing I read all day. Enjoy living in delululand. :traumatica:
