'I Knew It, I Knew You' by Taylor Swift falls by 46% on day 2 on Global Spotify

While this would be a smashing number for any other artist, it’s quite a low number for Taylor Swift. It’s around 8.7M filtered, which is the same amount Ariana’s lead single did. With such ferocious fans, you’d expect anything new Taylor puts out there would get a high debut with a ton of advantage over the rest. Obviously this is mainly due to the fact it’s a song for a movie, but I do admit I’m kinda shocked it’s not over 15M filtered. Seems like swifties didn’t really show up for this one given it’s not this huge mainline release for her. Kinda reminds you how fragile fans are, even the most dedicated ones.

Agreed. I think Showgirl was such a let down for most of her fans and the GP at large. She’ll bounce back but she needs a cooldown phase.

also for what it’s worth I really like the song, but to me it sounds more like Bleachers than Taylor.

Wow, this song was painfully bland, cardboard on dry toast level bland. If she doesn't get her long-desired Oscar nomination for this, she'll only have herself to blame. The franchise's previous 4 entries have got nominated and the third one won so there's a huge chance it could get completely snubbed this time but still, it had no need to be this bad. Did she really believe this was good enough? I'm sure it'll drop once its past its first week as only her fans will be interested, though.

I get what you mean, but as much as I love some of McDonald’s burgers, they’re not easy to digest  I’m playing on words obviously

That said, I consider Rihanna’s music to be much more easily likeable than Taylor’s, from her voice to her catchy melodies. I don’t know, most of Tay’s music just sounds… empty? Lifeless? Like totally sterile? Like sonically, what is there to enjoy?
