Better Song: Kill For Love vs Shape Of A Woman

I love SOAW more than others do, don't think its verses (especially the first) sound random at all (yes, @Ladle Ghoulash, I'm even working, possibly, on a small post for the several possible "female shapes" in it for BibleCamp  even though it's not related to Requiem or even Mayhem but we're analyzing everything there anyway through all mythologies - but I do agree in preferring Glamorous Life of the DWP2 tracks with you!).

ANYHOW. The joy of living (and having THAT title given to such a song) is such a groove. It's funky, it has sax, the lyrics just grow on you (and the opening to 1st verse to the prechorus is just a string of emojis until logic doesn't matter: shoulder-dancing does!  Of course you can analyze themes, but this is just a great banger that gets better when all the elements come together and melt into one fun song. Love Gaga's placement of it right before SoAM too.

Oh, but I think she would've been going for something taking the "shape" of a woman (those nightmare images/rung your bell, etc. Maybe something more spectral...okay, I said too much or you most likely have been ahead of me for about 1000 years again as always and this is "duh" territory ) But I have other ideas than the most obvious as well...sometimes. Luv ya 

I mean if SOAW was truly started on for Mayhem or something else of her own it wouldn't have looked like she had to reign in ALL of her own naturally gritty Gaga impulses and (re-)mold it into "TAKE A LOOK AT THIS STUNNING WOMAN MODEL, EH? EH? FELL OUT OF LOVE WITH YOUR CURRENT GF YET?" vibes instead of what her actual message would've been.

I still have other stuff to write there so don't be afraid. Yet

None is excellent, but at least Kill For Love is a very cute B-side, whereas Shape Of A Woman is… a song. Christmas Tree is much better

shape of a woman has the parts I dislike about kill for love focused center stage. Was actually shocked at how much I actively disliked that song.

That's not even a discussion, shape of a woman sounds like a catchy phrase sung to fill an already empty song. That said, I stream both equally
