Celebrities are stalked wherever they go. Paparazzis stalk celebrities whenever they know where they are to catch stuff for sale.

As said to another user, this kind of police body camera footage gets leaked all the time regardless of location. Justin Timberlake's leaked to TMZ as well, and he was on the other side of the US. Literally the opposite coastline.

There's nothing in this DUI situation that would have been prevented by Britney living in ****ing Alabama.

She's mentally ill, and by what is known publicly, she's been without proper support and treatment. Which is entirely understandable given her relationship with previous professionals who were drugging her to assist the abuse of her. None of that is changed by moving house. If anything, being forced to give up her home would be more disruptive and damaging to any potential support pathway.

And you have repeatedly used discriminatory language about mental health. You repeatedly blame her for being the victim of her abuse, even in this post where you deny you're blaming her you then proceed to blame her for the potential of other people's actions. That is discrimination and it is thoroughly ignorant.

I'm not going to argue with you anymore. She is her own person. She's not a kid. You need to stop acting like her media attention is outside of her control. You're doing damage to her by pretending she's a victim.

The media attention is outside of her control.

She's famous. The paparazzi famously stalk celebrities, hence why in some non-US countries make their activities illegal.

And she is a victim. That's been legally proven. And it was proven socially when she was driven to the point of a breakdown in 2007.

I don't need to do ****. It has been proven in court that she has been thoroughly abused by her family, her old management team and her previous medical teams. Did you miss that? Or do you just think mental health and the abuse of the mentally ill is a woke conspiracy?

Nowadays, she could avoid 95% of that media coverage if she really wanted to.

She either wants wants some coverage or doesn't mind it much. I think it's the latter.

I'm not saying she can live like everyone or live the life she wants, but if the media was a true priority to her as we speak, she would find a way to not be seen.

We've lived months and months without knowing anything about Gaga's life, where she was or anything. And Gaga is far more culturally relevant than Britney right now.

And truthfully, I understand Britney for not avoiding it. She's already experienced the worst with the media AND with her family. She's been seen at her worst, and many times. Back in the day, she was like the biggest pop star on the planet. Nowadays, she's essentially considered the survivor of an horror story. She has no desire to make a music comeback or anything, so why bother with the media now? And honestly, I'm sure she could sell out a tour if she announced it this week. Or in 20 years. Maybe not a MAYHEM Ball, but still a solid tour. So yeah, she has nothing to lose with the media, really.

That doesn't mean it's okay to do what the media does. Absolutely not in the slightest, cause it's twisted. But I'm convinced she literally doesn't give a single fvck, she may be having a hard time and I wish her the very best, but in the context of the media tracking her and stuff, she's just not the helpless victim that she once was...

And she does as pointed out by others (she's not always in LA)- and the media coverage isn't whats caused this issue.

This issue isn't case of TMZ harrasing her at home.

Its a DUI.

The media issue that people were originally talking about before that user decided to attack a bipolar woman for existing was that we shouldn't be supporting TMZ paying corrupt police to leak body cam footage and give exclusive info to them.

Like the media behaviour towards her isn't the driving factor behind the DUI. The only time we hear about her via it is when her ex or her father sell them stories now - which she can't control. We got stuck debating whether or not she should abandon the home where her kids are prepared to visit her at because some user decided police corruption and TMZ exist because Britney has untreated mental health issues.

Imo there's a difference between being innocent in a situation and being morally pure. The sis is nowhere near morally pure but she has innocence. She had her moment in 2007, they locked her up in a conservatorship instead of letting her be brat, then her dad psychologically abused her for 13 years, and now here we are. She's free and dealing with the inevitable consequences.

Let's not forget the profound consequences that mental illness can have on a person's life and their ability to make decisions. We already know she has bipolar and that predated the conservatorship. But 13 years trapped in a situation you can't escape from is a breeding ground for complex trauma.

And let's not also forget that there's a Princess of Pop underneath whose praise success and adoration might give her a lot of self-worth. And why shouldn't it?
