100% this! All of Gaga’s artistry feels like one big conversation and meditation on death.

I’d also say that Gaga’s stratospheric rise to fame and celebrity plays a huge role in her work too, and is deeply interwoven with themes of death and fear - issues surrounding legacy, losing yourself, medication and health, split personalities... it’s a maelstrom of mayhem!
