Long time charli fan and tbh this sums up my thoughts, maybe will like the album more since I do like most of her music but yeah bit lukewarm for me so far. I've only watched rock music not streamed the song tbh and I could see this going the same way

That being said, both Rock Music and this music video are ****ing gorgeous to me. I don't usually like fashion seque music videos, because I think they always look kind of tacky to me, just personal preference. However, the execution of this music video for this song is A plus to me. 

I think it's because the chorus happens at the start and then again and ends the song, also intro and outro are super short, no massive switch ups on vocals and lyrics, no bridge. 

I don't wanna say repetitive cause I like the song, I like how it's mixed, the placement of the instruments, the assertively electronic execution with rock arrangement is very interesting, like that's the part they focused to introduce novelty. I think it just needed to progressively introduce more novelty with the vocals and lyrics. That way of writing lyrics works very well with club beats, cause it favours repetition, but in another genre it becomes more evident.
