They were to a degree. I’m personally happy Gaga made the songs but chose to not use them as singles.

Because ‘Garden’ proves she can still do a song like The Fame/The Fame Monster. ‘HBDUWM’ proves she could make a modern pop song like Taylor Swift if she wanted to. Even though it’s actually meant to be like Yazoo, which is more Born This Way, which sometimes people forget came way before Taylor did Synthpop. 
 

Think of them how we think of Scheiße or Dance in The Dark. They’re our fandom gems that she brings out on tour sometimes.

I can’t believe it’s ending-but this era was everything I could ask for and more. This album and everything surrounding it has been such a big part of my life for so long it’s going to be har to say goodbye-but the beautiful thing about saying goodbye to an era is that we get to see whatever incredible thing comes next.

woah im in full blown tears, i think this album and era has helped me through tough times way more than i realized and has made me forget by putting Mayhem on or watching this era unfold and it made me happy
