Our candidates for prime minister are pretty much 2 extreme right politicians (one who’s lazy and another who hasn’t got a single view on anything BUT immigration), a woman who hates queer people and nobody wants to speak ip against her because she’s black and a woman and people are scared of not looking PC and then the person I think is the best candidate but has no chance of winning because all the media has been basically hit pieces against him.

British politics have also become too Americanised as well. Like I saw a UK culture writer legit call the local council elections mid terms the other day

I wouldn’t be too scared in the long run because Reform has a terrible track record. There’s no way they’d be able to pass any of their ideas in parliament. Plus the second they can’t keep their promises their voters will lose their minds.

Sadly the British public at the moment wants 3 things to happen; to make trans people invisible again, to ban immigrants but more specifically non-white ones, to make more money.

None of those things are going to happen, you can’t stop people being visible and nowadays people because of social media are self important so we’re just gonna become louder and probably have more protests.

Immigrants are scapegoats, once people realise that Reform can’t stop immigrants coming  in any way shape or form they’ll find someone else to blame. It literally happened during Boris Johnson’s reign as PM they wanted him to be tough on immigration because of Brexit, and now people realise that immigration goes both way. People missing their flights and customs taking longer to go through for example. 
 

It’s ironic how many people I know who complain about Trump’s America but said they’ll vote for Reform. And all they mention is immigrants and whiteness. Which is literally all Trump does but us British people like to pretend we aren’t just as dumb as Americans. Americans are louder but we’re definitely just as stupid.

Also I saw recently the predicted Reform council takeover at the next general election where they have ALL Of London which is… ridiculous lol the most culturally diverse city in the UK would absolutely not vote reform. 
 

Most Reform voters are from isolated areas or small towns or cities where there’s ironically not a lot of immigrants or PoCs. Big cities like Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and London are absolutely NEVER going to vote Reform lol they actually live amongst people that are diverse.

I mean...you ignore the fact we've had 2 rounds of local elections now where Reform has made ground in Newcastle (joint 2nd largest party), Birmingham (largest party), London (Reform picked up a council and the 2nd most seats picked up in London), Manchester (picked up 7 seats in MCC and made inroads in almost every single GM council). 

We overstate the impact of cultural diversity in English cities, because that diversity is heavily concentrated.

Oh I have no doubt they’ll win in some places but I can’t see every part of London suddenly becoming Reform because the diversity is just too strong. People aren’t going to vote against immigrants ,which is Reform main selling point, if they are friends with immigrants I think some will though because white people put being white above anything.

Every city has boroughs that aren’t diverse and voted for Reform so some places will become Reform. But we will absolutely see a backlash when it inevitably happens, when they start taking money away from public events and entertainment just to fund other things. 
 

I’m trying to remain positive that Reform, because of how much Trump ass licking Farage does which British people dont like, wont win but you can always tell who’s going to win in the 4 months running out a general election. 
 

Because the media starts putting out hit pieces against parties and leaders, for example Greens won’t win because the media has spent a whole 2 weeks talking about a jokey old Polanski quote and they’re promoting misinformation about his view on drugs policy, despite him clarifying it in every interview. Not to mention he called it out publicly on GMB about GMB and other media outlets. So they absolutely won’t let him win now.

Now every time I tell people I’m voting green they bring up their views on Nuclear weapons and drugs, and they always talk about their taxation policies for the rich. Many working class people for some reason are against their taxation policy which is wild to me.

This is bad for us tbh 

We cannot go through yet another few months of chopping and changing. Its also going to cause even mkre grief because this party is the same party who hammered down at every opportunity when they were in opposition that changing prime ministers during the premiership is un democratic, chaotic and whoever is in power has no mandate, and now they are acting the same, its going to feed reform uk to push for a GE which in tern will push even more people to vote reform uk which is in itself a death sentence for us because its boris Johnsons government with a paint job. Its a new party and they dont have fully realised policies yet, people are ONLY voting reform rather than Tories because were sick of the 2 party system, both are two sides of the same evil. 

The only positive ive seen is that parties like the greens and lib dems have gotten more seats this time around because Tories ****ed it big time and labour look like clowns. We need to change our whole political system from the ground up.

This is just a soap opera atp. No one in the labour ranks knows who they want to replace keir and they are all twiddling their thumbs until someone grows a pair and challenges him.

Its exhausting tbh
