Mortal Kombat 2 just struggled with its opening weekend because of how well TDWP2 and Michael are doing. She was never going to open this thing in thousands of theatres. There should always be more international options, but the fact that this is even going to theatres at all is a [good] surprise in and of itself. It's also not like this is exclusive to theatres. If that were the case, I'd understand the frustration, but we're all just gonna watch it on Apple Music anyway. The theatre release is just an added experience for those who are able to do it.
