DESTROY UR DISEASE

Hmm, I'm kinda torn on this. I like him, great vocals, looking good, definitely trying more than some other men in the industry... but we gotta work on the rest

like Mr. Electric Blue was a nice one but I didn't feel much replay value

Mystical Magical had fine verses but then the chorus... ahem

personally though Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else - I was here for it and I really liked that one

and obviously he's killing it with the covers

so I think the potential is there, he just needs to switch some things up

I can smell your sickness I can...

Two things are glaring with him. He has god awful lyrics. Embarrassingly bad. There was a song off his most recent album that I thought had really good production and melody, but the lyrics were so bad.

He also is a corn ball. No man wants to listen to this guy because he willingly only markets himself to teenage girls. He is not a four quadrant artist at all. He needs to think about making music adults can enjoy.

I mean, he's from Utah and raised in Mormon faith. He is very likely is one, although he supposedly said  he is no longer a mormon :ororomunroe:

I believe based on what i've seen about him that he's in the same sort of grouping of Mormons as Imagine Dragons.
So not trumpy.

Being hot shouldn’t give you a pass for mediocrity. Sorry.

Yeah ahah mine was just a joke. Though I think he’s got more than just a pretty look. He’s an incredible vocalist. Let’s hope he makes make better music for his next projects

I'm saying that artists need something to say all the time but I've never seen so many people saying that here besides me when it's any random pop girlie :yennefer:

People (including me) say that about Ava Max, Addison Rae etc. all the time lol. Some of the biggest critiques those artists consistently get on here are about lacking any kind of artistic vision/message.

He's incredible live (and yes, hot). I was fortunate to see him first row, GA, standing where he takes his water bottle breaks between some songs. I'm a much bigger fan of the releases before his latest album. I feel like it was rushed to put out a sonically cohesive album without enough concern for the songwriting. The album feels more like a product than art, and he sort of feels more like a character now than a serious artist (which is also how I feel about Sabrina Carpenter most days)
