I get what you're saying, I don't really listen to her or follow her (genuinely not my style, and having given her plenty of goes, sowwy ) but I was more commenting on how random and superficial these questions always are. As if she should know her mindset 30 years in advance because she's a young woman - I love how Gaga made fun of those questions, acting like she was dead serious but we knew she wasn't. She really made an art in those first few years of toying with the press and thus revealing nothing too private. It was fun to watch.

Anyhow, standing for something is definitely not a crime, it's great. It's just, that outlet is probably waiting on her changing her mind the tiniest bit, to turn it against her. And changing her mind may or may not happen, but nobody can see how they're going to evolve or regress (depends how you look at it) in their views etc. Just jumping in off the deep end () in answering these possibly ever-morphing questions is maybe not knowing they want to lure her in a future contradiction to blow it up in a scandal. It's typical to ask young women in the business these invasive things (which...eww) but firstly, that random title just got a chuckle outta me tbh.

I have a bigger problem with the publications themselves, especially if she's as genuine as you say!  Because look at Gaga: she was always honest (during her album interviews) in the moment, in the making/promo/tour of her albums, stood behind the messages within 100% and when context in your life changes, like it did with her, she admitted that. Being honest in the moment is no guarantee for the future.

But in essence I totally agree with you, this isn't ever in any way going to sink her, she has a solid/great fanbase, sooo... Do I make any sense?

What gags me about that is: I don’t even really fw with Billie (I’d fall more into the neutral/mildly positive crowd, she’s got some great songs, some stuff that doesn’t really move the needle for me, is clearly very talented, if mildly annoying), but like…even I can see that it’s just the better song? Like can we be serious for a moment?

BOAF is a great song! Finneas really cooked with the production and Billie's voice is ethereal over it. It's instantly nostalgic and gives you that "sad in the moment, happy in the past, optimistic about the future" feeling.

I think I coined the phrase "sanguine melancholy" for it back in the day  

And DWAS is lowkey just another Bruno song. I really liked the way she performed it at TMB though, if she released a version with the airy vocals and piano driven melody (and no Bruno) I would probably f*ck heavy with it.

100%. I also think there’s something really moving and relatable in a song about two people clearly struggling, wanting the best for each other, and actively trying to work towards a better future. That emotional push and pull alone pulls more of an emotional punch than the nice, warm, but ultimately one note emotional vibe in DWAS. 

That being said: I do also love the version Gaga does live and am really excited to hear the REQUIEM rework.
