I agree. 

On an individual level I think people should do whatever they want with their bodies without judgement. On societal level it's a different story.

Cosmetic procedures (both injectables and surgery) are messing with all our minds on a huge scale. It's a self-sustaining industry because it breeds insecurity. And with all of it becoming increasingly accessible, more average people start considering that their appearance needs tinkering to become/remain desirable.

I'm 100% convinced that those insecurities would be less prevalent if everyone collectively decided to age naturally. But because the vast majority of faces we see in media are enhanced in one way or another, aging starts to feel like falling behind. The bar for looking 'youthful' is continually raised.

Of course it's also a natural thing to desire youth, but the cosmetic industry definitely knows how to milk it for profit. And its not ment to benefit us.

i can't agree or not because i don't have the money. Would i implant hair in my head? I don't know, i sure do think it a lot now.

Would i do some proceedure for stretching marks, most probably. If i was a millionaire would i resist to not butcher my nose. Who knows.

Good for her, but easy for a young beautiful woman to say this. When she has her body butchered by these kids, all saggy and a fortune at her hands, we'll see if she's this confident.

This kind of comments is just a protest against aging and the pressure it brings, which means shes not excited to age. Why not just accept that aging sucks but accepting life the way it is, and finding peace with it?

I don’t take issue with the sentiment, it’s just that she feels like if a teenager’s Tumblr posts became a person sometimes. Good for her if she believes this, but she often strikes me as being kind of glib.

There is constant competition at Hollywood.

Why do we demonize plastic surgery and not the systemic oppression of thid indudtry. Even outside of that, women are constantly being predated for the way they look.... If we look "good" we suffer. If we look "bad", we suffer too ?
